I'd put a big shout out to the staff. You could tell they were very genuine and caring people producing the best food ever. So nice to see "home cooked" food rather than chain restaurant food. Cheers Phil

Yes great camera work and editing, he's a natural. Really hope you overtake rate my takeaway for subs, he's got his own cameraman and editor and it's still rubbish content I cannot understand why he's doing so well. Keep up the great work Lee.

Too right. Personally I’ve grown tired of Chinese and Indian takeaways etc. don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older, but I used too love a hot spicy madras or even a Vindaloo. Now I can’t even have one mouthful. Give me a nice pie and creamy mash any day👍🏻

Humble Pie shop was always a good alternative to the fish and chips. Nice ambience in the shop. Come on leaps and bounds since 2010. Well Done 👍

Very, very British. A whopping 10 for me, too; even though you never said it, Lee, I knew you gave it a 10 as well, and What ambiance and Character of this place. Has this little seaside town finally redeemed itself, yes!

That food looked utterly amazing and OMG Fentimans Ginger Beer. My mum used to have it delivered when I was a nipper and it came in a big stone glazed flagon.

I took my wife and mum in there about 7 years ago, they loved it so did I, they both passed away during covid. I will go back in one day for the memories and good food.

Loved this video. I'm a tad younger than you so it reminded me of my Grandparents rather than my parents. I was born in Essex but my Grandad was a Yorkshireman (Doncaster) so I love going 'Up North'!! for the food, and a few memories. I hope your Ma was looking down and smiling!

You were so overwhelmed you never marked your 'humble pie' in Whitby. If Dracula were marking he would say " Bloody Nora " that pie was fangtastic!!

That really did look delicious. I know what you mean about fond memories of things you did with your Mother. We need to never forget what the generation that went through WW2 suffered, we owe them so much. I'm 80 now so came along during that war. Watched "Dunkirk" last night. I as an American didn't realize what you Brits went through during that war. We all should never forget. Back to the food--I would much prefer pie and mash with gravy. I would pick the choice you made too with ginger beer or root beer if you could get it.

Me and my partner visit whitby about 4 or 5 times a year and typically go to humble pie at least half of those visits. Never had a poor meal. Always great service and great food. LOVE WHITBY

im not sure if im correct but the fish n chips you had with the can of pop was about the same price, but that looked real comfort food, nice fish n chips you can get in most towns but a proper pie n mash is a rare find. honestly brilliant entertainment, thank you.

Well done Lee. About 3 years back now I went in there and came out full and satisfied. It was recommended to me and here is a funny thing. The fella who said go there absolutely was charmed by the decor too but in the toilets. I forgot to go, well I didn't need to. Whitby is my favourite place.

Simply outstanding, the traditional pie and mash with mushy peas and gravy looked so delicious!!!! 11/10 from me, the whole dish looked really scrumptious!!!! 👍👌

10/10 Lee. This knocks spots off a certain pie and mash shop in Greenwich I had last August. My Granny used to take me to the UCP in Ashton under Lyne to enjoy traditional northern foods. Yes Ashton Lee.

One of the best vlogs you've done Lee in my opinion. Also made me think about my old 'Ma' who we lost a year ago. She would have loved this place. Coincidentally I was in Whitby a fortnight ago and must have walked past this establishment on the way to the pub(I won't mention)that served barely edible overcooked chips! I have been in there around 12 times, since a small kid in 80's! And is one of my fav places for food/drink. Those 2 women first at 9:10 and the other at 10:27 was comedy gold 😂 Flo's Pie and Mash-Dartford I really recommend! Go there and will treat you to lunch 🙂

That place would be something my mother in law would of loved, just like your mum lee, my mother in law would of fallen in love with that beautiful little place. Now with me being from London myself I much prefer gravy over liquor any day of the week, and that meal was simply a Darren John Special, of the charts 🤣🤣 You don't even have to taste that meal to see how amazingly it was, and I love my mash nice and creamy.
