I dunno. Bad feelings can make you act kinder cause it's like "I know what it's like to have a crappy day and this obviously insane man is probably having a bad day too". I've definitely been made a better person by my own suffering. Like, I always try to help homeless people because I know what it feels like to be desperate and have people walk right past. I might just walk past them too if I didn't know that.

If someone actually asks you this in real life *_don't let them in._* They could be (robbers/killers/who knows what) examining your house to find the best way to get in without much evidence of forced entry.

I have a theory that more people are willing to say yes if you let them know it’s a crazy request and a competition as soon as possible. Many successful people can relate to the mindset of competing and doing something unique. Being polite and having a decent vibe also helps.
