I've finally stopped buying backup bottles because I find that my initial enthusiasm does wear off. Not because I no longer think they smell good, but I'm constantly off to the next good thing. I get it. Such a bummer about your car! Fingers crossed that they compensate you well so you can replace it without too much pain.

Hi Maria! Hope you are doing great. Unfortunately, it happens to me all the time: falling in love with a fragrance, and then getting bored of it after a few months. That's why I prefer to buy small bottles.

Car theft in Canada is a serious national issue across the country. I’m so sorry you have to go through the grief and hassle of it all. Hope you do well through your insurance. Ugh! My neighbour had his $90K truck stolen last year and it was never found. Don’t feel bad about not reaching for your perfumes from long ago. As a KZreadr, you have so many new perfumes and plus your taste evolves and changes, especially as you explore more artistic/niche brands.

I think it's natural that our preferences change over time. I don't think I would like to wear now the perfumes I loved 20 years ago, although most have been discontinued, and others reformulated, so it's hard to say. My first more expensive perfume in my 20s was Hugo Boss - Hugo, in a round bottle. It's still on the market, but reformulated, and I wouldn't want to wear the current, or the original, version nowadays. It's just not me anymore.

We all get tired of our older fragrances and look for something new. And then, if we don't declutter (guilty!), we have the chance to fall in love all over again. :)

So sorry to hear about your car. My husband’s car was stolen in the fall. Mostly for joyriding. It was repaired so we didn’t have to buy a new one. I have a few fragrances that I don’t reach for because they are hard to find as well. I’ve also cut back on buying new ones so that helps.

I absolutely burnt myself out on my fragrances about 5 years ago, to the point that I couldn’t wear any of them. I owned approximately 6 at the time. This is justification for having a larger collection so that you have more options to choose from. I think our noses can tire of the same scent and long for a change.

I think when your collection starts to really grow, it's honestly challenging to continuously reach for any one perfume, and as you mentioned, we are distracted by our shiny, new acquisitions. That said, I do love going through older bottles whenever I can and rediscovering ones that I still love, but haven't reached for in a while. In that sense, they can seem new to me all over again. I just have to make a point of opening up drawers and actually looking through my collection, instead of just grabbing the new ones that are out. I absolutely LOVE Prada La Femme, but I have the Intense version, which I love even more.

Yeah, I'm the same. I'm trying to buy samples & then buy decants to make sure I actually use something before I get a full bottle nowadays. My love I never use anymore is La Nuit de l'Homme by YSL

I personally stop using my bbw for a whole year because yes I was getting bored so started with my perfumes so I did had plenty of empties so I went back to my bbw myst again because you do get bored and discover again and then do some mixes myst with perfume and it works for me.

You bring me joy - “flower grenade” I love it! I had an instant vision of you in a spandex bright pink and yellow superhero outfit with cape, setting off flower grenades!

I watch a lot of mens fragrance channels, but so enjoy the way you describe fragrances and get enthralled every time (you are very funny too) Would you consider speaking on unisex scents or maybe even "mens" fragrances that you enjoy on the hubby? Possibly doing a vid on them? It may not fit your demographic, but many women I know also wear mens fragrances.. Subscribed😊

My goodness! You should have had those flower granades as a security tool for your car. I'm so sorry they took your car from you! I wish they either find it or pay you a good amount for it and you can get a beautiful flower granade filled car that no one can take.

First I'm so sorry about your car !!! About the Sofia perfume I like you find myself just randomly having to un cap it and take a sniff!! Honestly I can't figure out why buf it makes me happy too!!!! But it has been so long since I reached for it. Maybe I used it too much back then. But it is a lovely fragrance too, and I refuse to let the Black Opium hate get to me 😂

I purchased both Prada Le Femme and Azzaro Wanted Girl based on your "I'm in love with this" reviews. I love both of these fragrances and love the flankers as well. There's an ethereal quality here...I think you need to fall in love again.

Hypnotic Poison and La Rive Taste of Kiss. I used to wear them a lot. I went through half a bottle of Taste of Kiss quickly. Panicked and bought a back up bottle. It's still sealed. Shortly after that I started getting into other fragrances. 🤷🏾‍♀️😩☺️

I'm bored of Sofia too. I loved it at first, but I got kinda tired of it! It's discontinued now.

I feel the same about Alien, i am saving a bottle because i loved it so much, and i still do, but the fact that i smell it everywhere makes me not reach for it anymore, so sorry about your car, unbelievable that people just steal a car!

I definitely don’t reach for my OG Alien or Alien Fusion. I love them but they are very strong for the activities I participate in. Lol.

There are probably a lot I don’t reach for that I actually love. This is Her (I used it like crazy for a year), Angels Share (so time specific to me), and Flowerbomb (wore all the OG and flankers so much I’m just tired of it but still love them all).

Mine would be Carolina Herrera Good Girl. When I tested it in the mall, it was chocolatey. It was so addicting that I saved the tester strip, kept it in a reseable, sniffed it every single day because I couldn't afford to buy one that time. When I finally bought it in FragranceX, it didn't smell the same as the one I tested. Not chocolatey anymore. I wore it a number of times until I stopped trying to make it work for me.

I don’t get any strawberry or patchouli from Quatre. I get aquatic rose with some citrus. I know it says strawberry but I don’t notice that . In the dry down I get a bit more sweetness. It’s a fresh aquatic rose that’s very elegant!!

Try “White Soul Gold & Diamonds” by Ted Lapidus it is very similar and the perfumer is Francis Kurkdjian.

No I agree it wasn’t funny…I kind of said it mid other thought….i was thinking I need to smell this more often to boost my mood being my car got stolen!!! Actually on top of that, I had to drive my husbands truck then and backed into a car. My car getting stolen sucked but I handled that well but when I backed into a vehicle because of the really long box on my husband’s truck….i had a total meltdown!!! It was a bad week for sure!!
