Your skincare routine is obviously working for you, Maria, since your skin looks so lovely. I've personally seen a big difference in using a retinol cream (currently using Strivectin) and either the Korres brand Wild Rose line (Love!) or creams from Avène. I've also had good results with Korean skincare. I especially love their sunscreens for the face, as they are so light and virtually disappear into the skin. I may have to try that L'Oreal cream, as it sounds really good.

Heading to Shoppers to buy some L'Oreal Midnight Cream - sounds like something my skin would love. The Clarins Blue Orchid Oil has been a staple in my skin care for years - nothing beats a good oil.

I am 46 and fair dry skin. I use Cerave smoothing cleanser in the shower, then after the shower I use The Ordinary Argiralene and the Multi-peptide serum,Vit C in squalane then slug Cerave moisturiser and let it sink in. I also hate sunscreens but just this year found korean sunscreens which are a gamechanger. I use Loreal nude serum which has amazing shade range and it goes on like skin care and lasts all day without powder. At night I use Heimish balm to remove makeup then the ordinary retinol in squalane, more cerave moisturiser and their rosehip oil to seal it all in while I sleep. I dont need fancy ingredients in face wash or moisturiser because they have one job to do, one gets washed off so expensive ingredients are wasted, and in moksturiser it goes over all my skin care to retain moisture so actives arent necessary.

Hi Maria! I love this video and hearing about some of your favourite beauty products! The Haus Labs Foundation is terrific! I recently purchased a deeper shade to warm up some of my other foundations, and it is dreamy! The Haus Labs colour range is similar to MAC and follows the artist's colour wheel where things are opposite, so warm is more pink and cool is yellow. Now I need to try out that L’Oréal cream! Cheers!

Love these tips! Agree with the Loreal cream! I use this and sometimes the one on the red bottle! I did add some serums! Retinol once a week. And one that blurs lines by ordinary along with Loreal Revitalift Blur ( kinda like a primer paste) and Eva Collagen/niacin serum I know collagen on the skin does nothing BUT this helps pre makeup and helps plump my skin a bit. And I use collagen supplements since menopause. Forrestleaf, amazing ! I noticed a change especially with my hair . Sadly no foundations or concealer for me ha they sink in any of my lines BUT I’m on Uber budget..( I spend all my money on perfumes lol ) the wet n wild hydra tint is a serum with a touch of color ? It’s kinda like haus labs! Shh 🤫 that’s my dupe for that one! I love your eyes the most! I must say!! 💕

I have medium brown skin, I don’t use sunscreen either because it feels so ooky on my face. Been using the Ordinary‘s Rosehip Seed Oil since the pandemic hit and I started getting Mask related acne. It’s been a game changer in healing my skin and improving my pores and fine lines also. Will check out the Midnight cream! Thanks! ❤

Hey Cuz! Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is amazing for me…it has the texture of a silicone primer and I use it as one when I know I’m leaving the house. It mattifies the spots I need and then I add the glow back to spots strategically with Flawless Filter/Halo Glow, and pretty much bathing in my ofra highliters 🤣 shameless highlighter hussy 🤣

OH, and the ofra highlighter colour for my daywalker fair see-thru skin is Glazed Donut!

I like the La Roche Posay Ultra Light Fluid face sunscreen (not the mineral one) It’s not greasy and it sits very nice under makeup. I admit I spend a significant amount of time outside this time of year because I like to garden and if I don’t wear sunscreen I get some melasma and dark spots.

I just turned 54 last Sunday. I am also extremely fair and my daughter is, too....we call it "Salamander White" 😂 BTW, that is the foundation I am using, too and this year my daughter graduated from med. school so I've had like 10 activities to go to and the makeup has been flawless and lasted through tears of pride and joy. Also, have you tried the Scott Barnes concealer trick? I did and omg, it actually works!!!

I use castor oil too-but I use it all around and under my eye and in eyelashes. I only use sunscreen on boating days etc and what is in my foundation. I have done some research and have some opinions on why sunscreen is being pushed so aggressively, but I’ll keep them to myself😉

I'd like to know more about that lol. I kind of worry about loss of colegen. Granted I know the worrying doesn't help lol. Last summer I was out a lot and used Paula's Choice sunscreen because of the other beneficial ingredients, but I got contact dermatitis around my mouth and nose I think. So I transitioned to a deep moisturizer now always first. But also if it gets near my eyes - like I put it under my eyes and somehow it migrates in to my eye - maybe from eyelashes touching that area, my eyes run constantly.

I’ll just say I like to use as little chemicals as possible. I try to limit exposure, but I do get 20-30 min a day of sun when the weather allows for the Vit D. But everyone needs to make their own decisions. I’m just one that feels some amount of sun is good for us and our overall well being. And I don’t think our sunscreens in the US are as safe and good as in some other countries. For me, it doesn’t make sense to slather myself daily🙂

I order the L’Oréal moisturizer! I have been looking for a good moisturizer!

Hi Maria! You look Beautiful. I don’t use sunscreen unless I go outside I hate the smell and I am 60 and people think I’m 40 I think I know how to take care of my skin! 😂. I love that L’Oreal midnight cream it’s amazing!!! Thanks for the video!

I have to agree that these L’Oreal night creams are pure luxury and make a huge difference in lasting hydration and glow. I’ve been using the manuka honey night balm and the midnight cream is next on my list. Great video as always! ❤️✨

I'd like to know more about your choosing not to use various types of products because you felt they did nothing. I stick with a lot of Paula's Choice or maybe considering venturing in to Korean skincare. And I too am super white. I had a grandmother that was Metis, and on the other side thete may have been some Russian way back (which traditionally they're very dark) but not me. And i gave up on tanning beds 20 years ago, so here's whitey mcwhiteson.

Does the L’Oréal cream have fragrance in the ingredients?

Have always thought you have beautiful skin! Many times genetics is key. Although… my 84-yr-old mother has better skin and less wrinkles than me! I take after my freckle faced father 😢

Your eye makeup and the whole look today is fabulous! Suggestions: For the corners of your nose it could also be built up dead skin. I used to have that. You can try Vaseline. Another thing over time that works is the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3. That’s the pink liquid. If you still have an issue see about getting the lowest strength of Retin-A and put on a moisturizer then the Retin-A. It will get worse initially and then it will eventually lift all the dead skin off and it will be as smooth as a baby’s bottom. You can definitely use the Clinique to maintain it and then just follow with your moisturizer.
