    Wow Eric I like your saying - Rental makes you comfortable (like monthly salary) but capital appreciation is what makes you Huat (like biz owner). Also, capital appreciation is not taxed but rental is 😂 Huat kueh master is the legend 🎉

    I agree 100% what Eric said on foreign buying. SG properties are always safer due to stability of the government and economy, masterplan communities and excellent MRT system. If you know your backyard you buy where you live. Only if you are familiar and live in another country for a long time and know the place inside out, then you can invest. Toronto is one of the craziest real estate market like Singapore. Excellent capital appreciation. More people, less housing inventory = crazy prices. 🙂

    To each its own. There are successful stories and pitfalls with properties. Same with Value Investing with US stocks. Just keep your feet on the ground and don’t be too greedy. 😊

    Simi question by Marko? "Will $3m landed become common?" bro, now FH/999 landed already minimum $3.3m liao including those must tear down haunted house kind. Unless he looking at 99 year landed / Sembawang Park landed (far far away) or those below 1200sqft landed, which makes one wonder if he really understands the market?
