Yeah those 300EX's had a noticeably shorter wheelbase than they're closest competition (the warrior at the time).

For as little hp they had compared to a Banshee or 450r, the 300EX's or even 250X's were a blast to ride.

@@blakebullington1225 when I was 13-15 it seemed everyone had a Blaster....and ever week someone blew theirs up. They were fun to mess around on. But I ride/raced bikes and don't care for sport/race quads. A bike needs a 5in wide line to launch off of. Doesn't matter what angle it's at, anything really. A quad needs a 5ft wide level jump or ur getting thrown off or landing all fucked. Bikes are faster too.

Another good build. Keep them 2 strokes coming

9:10 yes they did! On the Enduro bikes in the 70s they didn't take them nearly as seriously but bikes in the 60s and 70s definitely had expansion chambers. On the motocross bikes in the 70s most of them were down swept and ran under the frame. Look up "1974 CZ 380" and look at the pipe on that bike.

Working with these guys may not be your best idea ever lol.😉 points swap is not cheap.

I'm not anti CDI but points will almost always fire with a bit of sanding. Especially aftermarket CDIs not so much. They aren't that terrible.

Hey I have a 1998 yamaha Xl 1200cc jet ski it's 2stroke with only 56 hours I still got paper work of it bought brand new back in the day from my uncle it sat from 01 to 2020 and I just fixed it back up but it's still all stock besides starter and carb rebuild to make it run good. It be great to put in that jet boat. Qhen u go ride it almost knock u off your seat with a little bit of throttle..

Swop sides with the bike go up over barrels outside of your knees over rear tires I think it will work

The GT500 twin was a mild motor but good torque

It’s like a banshee but jus bigger heads you can kit a banshee to make it 500cc but I think the motor he’s using has bigger gears cause it was made for the road

I have to disagree with you because we were making tuned expansion chambers for 2 strokes in the mid 70s. There were heaps of build formulas for us to use.

I would also like to install another engine in my quad, but for that I would also have to work on the frame and that is never and never allowed in Germany :C

awesome build man your super talented but 35hp isn't much at all you could have done a snowmobile motor or newer two stroke bike motor and had tripple if not quadruple the hp.

For your next build can you install a Suzuki Hyabusa engine?

If it doesn't have a counter-balancer it's gonna vibrate HORRIBLY. The twin should be ok, but I've seen MANY CR500 motors in quads and they were barely rideable.

@@noidontthinksolol when they're in a bike chassis they're fine, I love riding em. But it's something to do with physics, I don't remember, but when they put them into a quad frame they vibrate an insane amount, something with the bike being on 2 wheels the vibrations are less for some reason. I'm 38 so in my teens and 20's people were putting CR500 motors in quad frames once a week it seemed. Some Aussie made a custom counterbalancer and it was a great build. All the others were forearm massagers!
