Hyundai Tucson 2015 review | TELEGRAPH CARS

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Hyundai Tucson is a rival to the Nissan Qashqai and Honda CR-V and, as Chris Knapman discovers, deserves to be taken seriously.

Good review...... I'm considering 'upsizing' my car again, and have now narrowed it down from initially four options to this new 2015 Hyundai Tucson Premium SE (range topper). Or the new 2015 CX5 Sport Nav (again the range topper). I have now test-driven both and the Mazda does somewhat feels better to drive and more connected to the road, but the Tucson has more kit included as standard, looks more stylish and it also drove well too - the 1.7 But I'd probably go for the 2.0 2wd for a little more power/grunt. So undecided lol.

LOL too right! I think people copy each other when they make car reviews and what is easier than to accuse a car of having plasticky plastics! Maybe we should go back to the days when the inside was metal - now that felt smooth! But with the road speeds and road conditions, I am afraid that metal would be out of the question in terms of safety.

***** Chris Bangle is American, but that won't make his BMW design as Americans. Other manufacturers have done the same, sometimes they even use third party designers/consultants such as pininfarina to design their cars. The origin of the person who designed it doesn't matter. They still have to make a collective decision as a company to choose which design they'd go for. Toyota failed in that respect imo.

***** Then it means Hyundai have appointed the right person for the job, no matter what nationality the person is from. Something that Toyota & Honda should've done. In the end, I would still say that the Koreans make better looking cars than the Japanese.

Nice Car from outside but Hyundai got one big problem and that is if you choose most equiped and stronger vehicle with 184hp it cost only 5-10% less than BMW X1 with 2.0 xd 190hp and similar serial equipment !! so Hyundai Tucson with the price of similar BMW X1 it is lottery because like used one for few years it will worth signiffically less then used BMW X1 !! and of course performance of Hyundai Tucson against BMW X1 is similar like performance&speed of Turtle against cheetah !! BMW X1 2.0xd 190hp are 7,6 sec 0-100km/h and 223 km/h while Hyundai Tucson is 2 sec slower and 20+km/h less with almost identical engine power and fuel consumption is about 1+liter higher for Hyundai., So conclusion is that Hyundai sold old tech car in new body

I've not driven either car and have no bias towards any brand. I have owned a BMW and it was very nice. I expect the BMW feels quicker to drive. My point is that the x1 is not a good looking car by any stretch of the imagination. Is the x1 an equivalent car to the Tucson? I would have thought an x3 is similar in size and also another uninteresting BMW design.

+Mr11ESSE111 I currently have a Volvo xc60 and the Tucson is very similar in size. The x1 is referred to as a compact SUV and often compared with Q3 which is smaller than the xc60. x3 is same size as xc60. I'm not a Hyundai fanboy, just was looking at possible replacements for the Volvo.

fact: over a 5 year period the tesla is cheaper to own than a family sized ford/toyota. tesla has no oil/gas engine which means no maintenance. Tesla offers a 10 year warranty on the battery and motor. tesla has stated that the battery will last for 15 years before the battery capacity goes down to 75%. this is the main reason why ford/mercedes/toyota do not want elecgric cars as they have ZERO maintenance.
