After seeing both in person, the CX-70 looks premium and elegant, and the Hyundai looks chintzy.

Santa Fe has a transmission problem already ...continuation of the last gens problems ...nice Hyundai but not reliable right from the start ...no thanks .

I would stay away from any Kia/Hyudai DCT transmissions. Had to do a software update twice at the dealer in 2 and a half years of my ownership. Been reading stories about people getting their transmissions replaced 2 or 3 times!. Traded my 22 Sorento for a CX70 and never looked back.

Mazda is much better on engine smoothness and chassis tuning.

I am getting between 25 and 26 all around MPG on my CX-70 Turbo S premium. It gets better gas mileage than the 2023 CX-5 Signature we traded in.

After driving a new Santa Fe hybrid and the CX-90, I know I'd prefer driving the CX-70. The Santa Fe may have been in eco mode, but it just felt unresponsive with the gas pedal, the suspension was firmer than I expected (but fine), the third row was pretty tight and the center console felt like it was going to creak/rattle in the future. The Mazdas are built more solidly and drive better.

I just purchased a cx70 last week best to get the 2nd highest trim red leather i think will hold up better than the Swede there's no competition for the cx70 it's a rwd biased chassis inline 6 turbo performance driving suv the Santa fe is just an average everyday suv

Hyundai offers the UV sanitation glove box thing because they designed this car during covid lol. Designers thought it would be useful

Just drove a CX-90, 3.3T preferred with 16k miles on odometer for about 2,000 miles. While it was a nice car, it needs To go to finishing school. The windshield wipers skipped and occasionally struck the window frame on the drivers side. There was a telematics’ failure 100 miles into the trip. Found the a/c system struggled to cool a hot car from Texas heat. Still warm 20 minutes down the road. Founds seats average and lacking cushioning for a long drive. V6 power was nice and shifts - except for 1st gear - were smooth. Actually, I’d buy the Palisade over the Mazda. Priced similar but find the Palisade is finished better.

Great video- these are the two cars I’m deciding between. Important point about the suede interior on the 70 and how it could age. It’s a shame that the 70 only offers the wood grain in with the suede and not the black leather.
