A white Hyundai was left at the scene after crashing into the Shorewood Grocery store in White Center early Tuesday morning.
It's at least the second time in two years the store, located on 26th Avenue SW, has suffered significant damage from criminal activity.
Last June, burglars tore an ATM out of the store. Thieves used a pickup truck to rip the ATM from inside the business. When deputies arrived, they found the side of the building had been smashed in and the ATM had been taken. The front wall was destroyed in the process.
On Tuesday, the owner shared the store’s new surveillance video with KOMO News. The video shows the suspects who rammed the car right through the shop. Then the group goes to the counter and starts clearing it out. The store owner said they took some vape and tobacco items, which was certainly not worth the destruction to the building.
