That truck in the opening scene is in the back end of Hurlstone Park/Canterbury. It seems to be a permanent fixture. It's quite creepy walking past at night. What a small world it is.

I have a I30 diesel and i love it. very cheap to run, loads of power. but i find no jerking with the auto transmission. very smooth to drive and i live in the suburbs. i get 4.4L/100k with the a/c on doing about 90kph, 4.7L/100k with the a/c on doing 110kph.

I own a 2016 i30 diesel wagon and love it except for the faulty transmission. Has a problem with 2nd gear not engaging properly on occasion. Dangerous when trying to cross an intersection when the car just revs and goes nowhere until the gear engages. Problem started when still under warranty but told that it was normal under the dual transmission system. Out of warranty now and steadily getting worse. However, great little car on long journeys. Gets down to 4.7L per 100kms.

im buying this car for driving uber (mainly in city and inner suburbs)... should be going through a decent amount of traffic.. guess im going to have to learn to drive it in traffic differently than any other car

When I left the gauge was on half full. When I arrived 170km later, the gauge was on half full. Mate, you have a broken fuel gauge.

Its true, when i drove this vehicle almost 1000 miles on one tank I thought the same. In fact, I called the hire company to ask them if the fuel gauge worked because after 200miles the needle was not even close the 3/4 full mark.

Yep it's true for me too. 1000km on a tank on my wife's diesel i30. Dale just doesn't get it. Mate, you have a broken comprehension guage.

    DPF?

No i30 in australia comes with a DPF, not required to pass Australian EPA rules. Other car companies have sometimes just left them on their vehicles if that was the norm for them elsewhere in the world.
