I followed your video to the letter; however; I cannot pull out the bumper cover enough to clear the uplift pull of the headlight assemble. I think I need to remove the bumper cover..

I was able to do it using my Di.... it's large but flexible.

Thank you for this video it was extremely helpful. I liked that you called out the sizes of the bolts to be removed. Mine is a 2013. The screws on grill would not come out for me, but they did not seem to impede removal of the headlamp assembly. One last thing: I like another viewer, would have liked to see you reinstall the headlamp assembly. For me, that was the most difficult part of the process. Position the assembly so that all three bolts line up. I just started screwing them in, and the others would not line up. Thanks again, Jason

Thank you for posting this. I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra that recently had a recall to replace the engine due to a pining noise. Because of this and handing the car off to my kids, I'm trying to pro-long its lifespan. I had tried to use the sanding/chemical treatment in the past on a Toyota, but those chemicals wash off after a period of time. I ordered two new "led" headlamp assemblies off of Amazon. Still too new to say whether or not the LED replacements are good or not. Next ones to replace are the taillights. Thanks again for saving me hundreds of dollars in installation fees!

Wish you would show how the calibrating screws work on the headlight assembly also. Sometimes you change the bulbs and you need to calibrate the position of the beam...

I want I install led lights for the low beams. It won’t fit because the light is too long. What can I do?

Why would you pull out the small screws that hold the bumper in place when you didn’t need to know I have pulled them out and I can’t put them back in

can you make a video of putting it back in because I was able to get passenger and driver out without much of an issue but you failed to show how to reinstall them with those clips. those need to be removed and thrown on the plastic bars you show at the very end to put back on based with the angle you need to insert the assembly for reinstall.

For the passenger side at least, you should be able to put the headlight assembly most of the way in while pulling back on the bumper cover, then it requires a good shove to get it back in the clips. Before the shove, at least on the passenger side, you should be able to reach under and feel at least the clip closer to the center of the car to ensure it's aligned. I initially thought the replacement headlamp assembly I got from ebay didn't fit correctly, but it just needed some convincing. Then a bit more brute force to get it aligned with the bolt hole closest to the windshield - I had to push it in as hard as I could.

ALERT: I planned to replace the bulbs per the video. Took my car to my mechanic for brake work. Dennis saw the bulbs on the seat. When done he said "No Charge" for the bulbs. He showed me how he reached back, removed the round covers, and replaced both. Not sure if his hands are smaller than normal. He said no need to remove the headlight. Took him 5 mins.
