Thanks so much! I just saved ~$1000 in labor by doing this myself on my 2018 Hyundai Accent. Much appreciated.

Nice job! Great video and audio. I will do this job today or tomorrow. I have seen on videos from folks who live in the rust belt (South Main Auto for one) that they use a high quality brake lube on all metal to metal contact areas. Including the rotor to hub area. I think that is a cheap and effective addition to a good brake job even if one does not live in the rust belt. The car may find itself there at some point and "salt never sleeps", as we say in Minnesota. I live in Missouri now and the problem is considerably less. But still I think it is good practice to use brake lube. Also It may be a good idea for thread locker on the bracket bolts. IMHO - thanks for the clear and concise video without all the banal yammering of some guys. I will sub.

I use to use brake grease on metal surfaces that touched each other. But it was pointed out that doing so may trap dust, sand, and road grime on that grease over time causing the pads to not move. I asked my old teacher and did some research. I didn't find any manufacturer or teacher that recommended continuing to to grease areas other than the sliders. I never had a problem tho. I was told a good hardware kit clean sliders is the way to go. So I've been following this practice for years. Now... lock tight.... never on brake parts. Proper torque is good enough. Don't over think it. Brakes are super easy! You will have them done in no time and sit back and be proud. Keep me posted on your progress. 👍💪🤞

Hmmm. I don't know why I cut that out. My favorite compression tool for a piston that is a straight push in is this one: amzn.to/3SNex3T

Isn't that great!? Some old guy tough me that about 20 years ago.. never gonna forget it. Mike hated torque wrenches.

@medrarrabah7155 If I am replacing parts, I usually use Power Stop brake rotor and pad sets. But in some videos, I am disassembling brakes looking for a sound. If you give me your year/make/model/ engine size, I can post a link or 2 of brakes I'd recommend.
