To everyone saying Hyryder mileage is bloated my two cents : real world figures are much lower than ARAI values. But see KZread videos where in real world test Hyryder is actually giving a mileage of 25+ kmpl in real world scenario. While Creata Diesel will be lower than ARAI figure, as ARAI figure is based on 80% city traffic and 20% highway. Hybrid technology usually provided better mileage in city due to more regenerative braking and lower speed where the battery provides most of the power. If you check KZread for real world mileage tests you will find the gap is larger where Hyryder is giving mileage of around 25+ kmpl while Creata will give 15+ kmpl. In fact V3 in another video mentioned that Hyryder is giving almost 95% (sic) real world mileage of ARAI value. which is very very rare. Additionally there is a chance 10+ year old Diesel vehicles might be banned all over India like it is now in Delhi ( though this is an assumption but possible). Cheers!!!

My choice would be Toyota Hybrid technology. Especially EV mode at low speeds is awesome.

Creta G Mild hybrid vs Creta SX. Which one is vfm?

I compared strong hybrid V variant of Hyryder with Creta SXO IVT petrol. This is because power output and transmission are similar. Features are also similar. Hyryder costs 2 lacs extra in OTR price. Creta gets subwoofer & EPB+OH extra compared to Hyryder. Hyryder gets 360 camera, HUD extra compared to Creta. However, Hyryder recovers the extra 2L in 3 years as FE is 20 KMPL in City traffic driving. Creta gives 10 KMPL only in City traffic. Add better safety rating for Hyryder than Creta . Hence, I decided to go for Hyryder V strong hybrid. I drive only in City traffic. Hardly go on Highway 😅 . Sad sad life, but atleast stumbled upon a Car which will save me some money.

Please elaborate on proposed Diesel Engine Ban & how it would influence the decision to buy it.

You give best information and verdicts by official information given car company. But practical point/issues should be added by owners /person. For that I have to see another vedio. Kindly add that too.

I recently bought a manual creta diesel mid veriant over hyrider. For hyrider even the base veriant on road price has gone over 20lakhs and the waiting period is over one year and in that one year the price will go up, that didn't seems like good. I got a ready stock someone canceled and got discount on the insurance and some free accessories within a week got delivered.

Good info! Based on this, paddle shifting steering, TPMS, powered seat and the fact hyrder runs a 3 cylinder engine which can’t deliver drivers experience like a 4 cylinder D/P turbo, it’s an easy decision to go with Creta in my opinion.

Hi, you must consider km running in a year atleast 20k, because if someone goes for diesel definitely his running is more, same in the case of hybrid. So request you to compare atleast 20k per year.

@V3Cars @jagdev - Great analysis and big fan of yours. Just want to check why people are buying more strong hybrid Vitara compare to Hyryder. I am surprised by this. Technology is from Toyota, manufacturing is from Toyota,and price is also less in Toyota, but then why people are going for Vitara. iIt can't be only resale point. The same delay is there in both the cars. I'm planning to buy S version of Toyota. I think people should go for S version as it is lowest priced hybrid and has most good to have features, including rear camera. People who want sunroof, HUD and Alloy wheels should go for G and V version, which has additional features like 360 camera 6 airbags etc. Though compared to Vitara, sales of Hyryder is less, but I'm sure that Hyryder offers better options in strong hybrid and is selling more than Vitara. People should go for Toyota if they want strong Hybrid, because the engine is from Toyota itself. They have better understanding of Hybrid. Please respond

The variants considered is not correct. Hyryder v variant should have been considered with creta SX(O) as both would have been the top variants in this case thus affecting the costing. Hyryder V is 18.99 lacs ex showroom higher priced than Creta SX(O). BUT IN CASE U DID THIS VIDEO TO PROMOTE HYRYDER, THEN ITS FINE.

You have not considered the cost of battery for Hyryder as it would also need to be changed after sometime. I believe the cost of battery would be high given hybrid have bigger batteries.

8 years battery warranty and it's not plug in so battery is not very big.

@@amitpatilamit since the batteries are used on continuous basis and being a small pack these batteries will deteriorate for sure and shud be replaced. I am guessing one has shell out 2 to 3 lakhs for the batteries in 9th or 10th year..

@@mnd3607 Not really. First of all, batteries do last longer than 8-9 years. I have seen a Prius in USA that had 1.3 lakh miles on it! Plus cost of replacing small 0.76kWh battery costs 1 to 1.5 lakh "today". Lesser if you do it yourself. If you look at price trajectory, 9-10 years from now batteries will cost much less and petrol will cost way more.

@@amitpatilamit a pruis going 1.3 lakh miles does not guarantee all other cars will do same distance..I have seen in forums where camry hybrid battery replacement was quoted for 2.5 lakhs ..

Please mention safety and build quality also

I am big fan of your channel but this video seemed rushed and not fully researched. As others have already pointed there are few more parameters to be considered like DPF topup in case of diesel engine, battery maintenance for hybrid etc.

1) The comparison should be with Toyota UC Hyryder Hybrid ‘V’ which matches most features. That is a realistic comparison. Then the choice will tilt towards Creta SX O Diesel AT considering costs. 2) Battery replacement cost too to be considered how small it may be. If you look at the above 2 points, Creta will only be the winner! FYI - I booked Hyryder Hybrid V … now cancelling it to book Creta SX O Diesel AT. My reasons against Hyryder when compared with Creta: 1) Low torque 2) Low boot space 3) Relatively cramped interiors 4) Flimsy sun roof blind 5) Appeared more of a city vehicle than a highway one 6) Noisy 3 cylinder engine

Battry warranty is 8 years and 160000 km, world wide tere are more than 2 crores vehicles on road, toyota engines are best low cost of maintenance, power is good if ve drive the car,

You have calculated periodic maintenance wrong.. Petrol versions are known for very less maintenance.there you should have given advantage to hyryder...Second you have given too much price on performance parameter to creta..on indian roads we don't need more performance..else we would be getting frequent fines..Third creta can be owned only for 10 years and this rule will sone come to all states...in my view hyryder is always a win win situation...waise bh creta is too overated...chutiya car and chutiya manufacturer.

You are making an assumption that hyryder will provide claimed FE, while creta with Diesel engine will surely provide claimed FE if not more.

I guess hyryder will be safer than Creta in a crash test. So I'll go for hyryder.

My two cents - Diesel engines will be phased out gradually in the near future and the resale value will drop drastically.

There are at least 10 videos in KZread where people have driven long and short trip in hyryder and none of them were able to achieve 28kmpl. The ARAI range is bullshit. A petrol will be petrol, be it hybrid or flex.
