I thought it looked very shiny but knowing what a perfectionist you are I wasn't too surprised that you said it's not super shiny. I love that there is no damage to the nail after removal. My main reason for not having gel is the risk of damage as I do not have the toughest of nails. I haven't heard of the brand but loved the look of that lilac colour.

Nice product! Curious to know what lamp you used, as you have said stick to the brand’s cure light. Does it need longer or shorter cures? Nice to see MSL’s CLAY & EMIL tats again! They’re what drive me to what you! I always loved the swatching!

Interesting to learn more about this line. The top coat should still be wiped even if it's a no wipe just because of how they are formulated (we spoke about this before with the Shellac no Wipe TopCoat, but that one has gone out if it's way to explain why it truly doesn't need to be wiped) but some techs I've spoken to have said to wait 60 seconds for no wipe top coats to cool down before wiping and that helped it be shinier .

I have developed one. Took me ages to realise that the eczema on my body that randomly appears is from polish. Plus as it got stronger it was all over my nails under and around like blister . Worst week on my hands ! So be careful

Jaw dropped when I saw how perfectly one coat of black polish applied! I would love to see if this would work for me, I've only done gel a few times but it always destroyed my nails. It was only after watching your channel that I realized that maybe my nails are just reacting badly to gels.

I absolve this entire line is fantastic I’m very allergic to every gel but this one was wonderful! I’m so excited to get all the new colors they now have ! When I first got it I hit thePolygel! and it was wonderful as well! I wish Bob would send me some lol no seriously I’m going to buy all of them because they are fabulous! I find when you wipe any no-wipe coat it kinda dulls it a bit. Yes curing a no -wipe a tad bit longer is more super shiny.

Hello, thank you for your question. No, I have a full line of CND Shellac and I’ve been using it for over 10 years. My most requested services are manicures and especially pedicures with regular polish though (Dazzle Dry) so it doesn’t make sense to be investing in a new line.

The final application of product looks really shiny to me in this video. I'm wondering if the color coat can be applied to existing enhancement (acrylic and/or gel) builder without their base coat? I'm wondering how the Yin/Yang would work for French? Seems like an ideal solution to a thin one-coat application to avoid thickness at the tip of a French application. Just musing to myself, not advocating for other intervention or testing. Thank you for sharing your findings and observations.

Hi Mir, yes you can use the PRIMA colours on acrylic or gel without a base.

Hey there, Anna, MSL hope you're bothing doing gr8. Polish looked great, but it's a few more steps than I want. I did go to their website and I absolutely fell in love with the color AVA right off the bat. MIA, CHRISSY and LOVIEA are also amazing. I've always been reluctant to try Gels. I've heard so many conflicing stories about it, I really Like the Prima line, but it's quite an investment for the kit and colors, plus, I'd have to by an LED lamp. The only one-coat polish I have ever found (black or any other color) is ORLY's Vynal. It is definitely a one and done. I wish all polishes were like thatl. lol. Thank you both for another awesome vid. Hi Laurent, developing products is really expensive and we use very high quality ingredients, so the price will be higher than standard products bought from a factory. Do you have any idea if the IkonIQ base coat could be used to apply full nail tips (in place of nail glue and/or sticky tabs? After a severe allergic reaction to gel products, I have been forced to avoid them. The reaction caused my natural nails to peel back in layers, some almost to my cuticle. Until I can grow my nails out again, I am trying the full cover tips. From the info I have read, the IKONIQ products do not contain the chemicals that cause most gel allergies. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

I think it would be best to contact them directly. The thing is that hypoallergenic products are less likely to cause allergic reaction but once you are allergic you might also react to hypoallergenic product. Depends how sensitive your body is to these ingredients now. Or what exactly you are allergic to. One ingredient or multiple ingredients...?

@@TheSalonLife thanks very much for your reply. Since it can be a year+ wait to see a dermatologist (in our area of Canada), I have not seen one to determine the root cause of the allergy. But ANY product that I use that requires curing under the lamp, causes the same reaction. It started with builder gel. And I can't even use a gel base coat to adhere full cover tips without a nasty reaction. So I guess I am left with using full cover tips with glue and sticky tabs (not ideal but certainly better than nothing). Thanks again.

Do you have to use the two priming/dehydration products before the base coat? Two extra products means more time and money to add to the system. I'm curious how it would last with just a base coat and no other product beneath it to help adhesion.

Hi Maeldeis, PRIMA can be used without primer and that gives 2 weeks wear. The primer increases the wear time.

a 50/50 mix of isopropy alcohol and acetone makes a very effective dehydrator and is similar to what is often sold. Alcohol or acetone on its own would also work. Personally, I find primers/bonder make a big difference in how long my nails last as I wash dishes by hand.

Im not sure what exactly the main source of the issue it but your mics or mic, seem to produce a bit of audio distortion in the video. I noticed it used to be on the right audio channel and now it seems to be on the left. Just a small thing to consider but would improve overall quality of the video in the long run if yall somehow fix it. Keep up the great work🙏.

It looks great! Just here people dont do a 2 week manicure... they want to come after 4 or 5 weeks... so I need to build it with a harder gel or a rubberbase. But I love this natural look of the nail, thin but long lasting. I am very curious about this product..

Hi Serhat, in Europe 4 or 5 weeks is standard too. If the application is made correctly, your clients will have salon ready nails for at least this length of time. That's because of the adhesion in the formula but also because the PRIMA Base can also be used for strengthening.

Hi, they also have a gel base that cures and is supposed to not dissolve during soak off which I thought was interesting. They also have several lines that are all geared at being as hypoallergenic as possible including very durable polygels. Though the Prima line shown in the video is supposed to be the safest for those with allergies.

I tested the products from Ikoniq before i started using CND and had an allergic reaction to the products just like with other European brands. I only can wear CND and Light Elegance.

Hi Cili, Sorry that it didn't help you. Hypoallergenic products are designed for prevention, unfortunately it is not possible to guarantee that everyone with allergies won't react - because it depends on how sensitive the immune system has become and what "threat" it thinks it sees when it reacts. So it is possible that an immune system can react to hypoallergenic ingredient X, but not hypoallergenic ingredient Y. Happy that you found your solution ))

I am a nail tech and have suddenly developed allergic reaction from gel. Even e-filing the dust. I had to be put on steroids. So I would love to try a sample of this. As of now I'm back to the basics OPI regular polish😢

There are zero nail techs in my country buying these, despite so many people having severe allergies, therefore I can't test them and even find out if they will work for me. This is so frustrating! I unfortunately believe I'm just allergic to everything 🫠, tried these out with my tech and I had (minor-ish) reaction. Nothing bad, just some itching and tiny bit swelling. The polish themselves are very nice and I'm sure anyone with less severe allergies would have much better luck however! I agree with the shine, I wish it was shinier but it still looks great!

That's unfortunately common, hypoallergenic products are good for preventing or lowering the risk of allergy or overexposure. Once you are allergic you can react to even hypoallergenic products.
