Whenever I've seen these kinds of coaching-ish vids in GM ranks for various games the counter argument is always "it won't work in my low elo 'cause people aren't coordinated enough". Pretty sure the point here is, this works in low gold / high silver. This is also the most used Valla build in pro games, so if people wanna see it with great gameplay those vids are available a well

I did not create this build it has been around forever, I am highlighting this build because I still think it is very good in the current meta. As far as changed, this is the exact build ran in HGC and since then the only major talent buffed that may work in the build is the spell power at 16. Yall can try it, I like the range, but feel free. I showed it in low ranks primarily because it was a game I carried to show you can carry with it. However, in high ranks it tends to be a bit more team oriented with people needing to keep you alive.

Notpara, I watch your stuff all the time. One thing that would be sweet, if you could post a screenshot (or something similar) to act as a Quick Reference guide to your builds to have on while I play the game. Maybe just me- either way, thanks for the content.

Falstad was picking random talents which is why his damage is low. Those gusts were used only defensively and too late to really matter rather than early to zone out half the team and or throw them into a wall. I'd blame him if anyone

Thanks for the guide mate, However I must point out that on 12:30 you were taking about THE SIZE of your dmg, but forgot to mention that it was under Jaina's vulnerability. On that point specifically, I do think she did a better job than you, applying vuln and slow that allowed all that to happen. Gratz to that player as well.

I am a low rank player and today I tried this build for the very first time. We won, and I became the MVP with a score 8/0/17. And I did nothing crazy, just attacked whoever was safe to attack and when they come for me I used my ult to stun them and then Q, W. And they all died! I did over 48 000 dmg and we barely reached lvl 16. I hated playing Valla before, but now I reconsider that) Not only this build allows u to play safe, but I gives u an amazing wave clear as a bonus) the challenge was to keep 10 stacks all the time though. So, I highly recommend to try it out) thanks NotParadox;)

"I can't complain" we get it bruh. So much reiteration.

During beta we used to call this build right-click-and-win, Its talents were a bit different, but the same principle, right click everything you can and win.

You could also check for Heroes Counters HOTS search on Google and find the full list. It's usually accompanied with explanation who they are strong at and which teams their synergy works. Also sometimes you see which maps they are strong and weak at.

EZ answer : how do you expect them to be same level when only ONE champ has more kills than all the other team ? When ONE champ has more damage than the TWO first of the other team ? Come on, he has twice the damage of any other DPS "LOLOL easy to win when you're winning"

What about Seething Hatred at 16? It gives a +15% damage to all your magic damage: Hungering Arrow, Multishot (additive with Punishment), Rain of Vengeance and Arsenal. Seething Hatred enabled burst can actually 100->0 a Li Ming's health just with the magic damage. It also enables you to get to 10 hatred stacks quickly for the maximum Punishment, Hot Pursuit and Vault value, which is great as quite often late-game fights can be too snappy to give you time you get up to 10 stacks. E.g. in the fight at 16:29 you were on 5 stacks, but it could have been 10 with Seething Hatred. I also regularly take Manticore at 16 against Muradin, Diablo, Garrosh, Cho'Gall and Deathwing, even in a W build. Is that wrong?

Yea, I usually take seething hatred too. I don't see the slow necessary because most of the time your team already has a better slow and 20% of range doesn't seem worth it when you can spend less time hanging on your w before you get the hatred stacks.

I see you replied to my comment, but I cannot find the response, so I'm gonna respond to what appeared in my notifications. I realise I didn't add damage from Hatred to the formula, but since you should probably stay at 10 stacks, I neglected it as it doesn't affect damage difference (Hatred doesn't affect neither damage from Manticore, nor Seething Hatred). However now after reading my message again (it was late, sorry) I forgot to spread Manticore damage over 10 seconds period. It probably should look like: 1. (((140+80+80)*1.15)+(172*1.55)+(120*1.15)+(125.25*1.80*10))/10=300.41 2. ((140+80+80)+(172*1.40)+120+(125.25*1.80*10)+(0.05*1340*16.7/3))/10=328.83 So Single Target DPS is still higher in favor of Manticore. If you start with 0 stacks of Hatred then it's kind of different: 1. With Seething Hatred (75+(75*1.16)+(75*1.32)+(75*1.48)+(75*1.64)+((75*1.80)*11.7)+((140+80+80)*1.15)+(172*1.55)+(120*1.15))/10=282.41 2. With Manticore (75+(75*1.08)+(75*1.16)+(75*1.24)+(75*1.32)+(75*1.40)+(75*1.48)+(75*1.56)+(75*1.64)+(75*1.72)+((75*1.80)*6.7)+(140+80+80)+(172*1.40)+120+(0.05*1340*16.7/3))/10=295.83 So your single target DPS is still lower when fighting other Valla and it will out-DPS Manticore only when fighting Abathur, Murky or Eric, i.e three Heroes with the lowest maximum Health in the game. Have in mind at level 0, 8% bonus damage of Valla's Basic Attack damage is equal to 6 (0.08*75), while 5% of Abathur's Health (685, the lowest HP Hero in the game) is equal to 34. However I'm not saying Seething Hatred is a bad talent, it can be really powerfull in 5v5 Team Fights and allows Valla to adapt to those fights when she rarely is able keep 10 stacks at all times or to proc certain talents that rely on stacking Hatred ASAP. I myself pick it sometimes in QM if my survivability is limited (e.g. no tank and/or healer) and I need to quickly stack Tempered by Discipline or Gloom. It's good if you go pure AoE build (but then again you lack single target pressure on enemy front line) or in AA build if you cannot stay at 10 stacks for longer periods of time often (and IMHO Seething Hatred actually performs better in AA build), but in draft scenarios at higher ranks Mantiocre will always be an optimal pick. EDIT: Wanted to add a little bit of comparision: - Manticore effectiveness is greater the highger the target's maximum Health, while Seething Hatred provides the same amount of bonus damage regardless whom do you attack. - Manticore damage cannot be mitigated via Armour, while Seething Hatred bonus can. - Manticore always provides constant pressure on a single target, while Seething Hatred effectiveness diminishes greatly the fewer there are targets to hit. - Manticore provides balance between Basic Attack and Spell Damage. If Valla gets Blinded, she can still dish a good amount of damage with Q, W and can still deal a lot of damage with Manticore when Silenced. On the other hand putting everything into Spell Power can get Valla trapped by dimishing her damage output significantly by a single Crowd Control effect. - When you missclick a Basic Attack you're less punished than when missing a Basic Ability (long cooldown). Due to the nature of Hungering Arrow and Arsenal, you may not get 100% value out of those as Hungering Arrow may bounce to non-Heroic targets and Arsenal's Grenades may not hit anything, while Manticore can always benefit your damage output. In high tier games pro's like consistency and reliability (that's why Gul'Dan's Rain of Destruction, Orphea's Q build, Li Ming's Arcane Orb build, Li Li, Kel'Thuzad, etc are rarely picked or not picked at all). - Seething Hatred increases both your PvP and PvE damage, while Manticore only increases your PvP damage (that's actually the only advantage of Seething Hatred over Manticore if you're able to keep your Hatred stacks topped).

wow just tried this passive method and I've been winning a crazy amount, I keep seething hatred cuz I do like to spam as many spells as I can to keep pressure, though I do keep Frost Shot when I deal with Kael or Valeera, anybody that can get valla in a snap

Nice guide. But this build is pretty much better with Seething Hatred. Quickly gain stacks and %15 more dmg on MS instead of slow. Also this build is very potential if you know what you are doing :)

Hey Not ! Thanks as ever for your video ! There's a thing id like your opinion on, according to your "dont break valla's walls" tip. Im currently gold and i came to the conclusion that vision and awareness have a huge impact on potential mistakes from mates and ennemies. My point is that unless you got a kharazim/Kerrigan/or whoever needs a target to jump, it seems rly useful to break walls, for macro reasons. Would you agree with this or am i totally wrong ? Im a huge valla player, and still i dont feel im lacking too much hate cd.

Nice guide. I do disagree with you on 13. Spellshield is usually better to negate a lot of spell damage ganks and overall damage. Valla has little HP so most of the life gain can be gained by soaking. It's a good thing since it pushes you to gain XP as well.

This one is the standart W build valla... If you play her as Hypercarry vs big Tanks i would suggest to get Manticore :)

I actually prefer manticore at 16 and rancor at 20. You can burn down any hero even heavy tanks so fast with that. And it stacks well with tempered by discipline providing more healing. I can solo anyone. The extra range is nice but the attack speed is ridiculously good.

What about spell power at 16 for more damage over slows?

13. gloom so you wont get 1 shot by some ults. 16. manticore to burn down tanks since thats the target you'll be hitting the most. Especially if your team doesnt have %dmg. 20. range.GM here btw.

Not hypercarry, NP says it himself, need a second support like aba, zarya, or Tass or a second healer to take away the squishy problem from the beginning to make it hypercarry.

I played with a diamond who use exactly this build. But instead of auriel he prefers me to play morales as heal bot. We win 5 out of 5 games we played like this.

Auriel have no ressources gen issues on an hypercarry. So shes better than morales. Plus she group heals. But morales is still quite good here

So what scenario would you go auto attack build? Or would you never do it?

I actually just had a quick match where matchmaking decided to put a party of new players on my team so I used a similar build. We had a Uther as a healer so I wasn't expecting much. The enemy had both deathwing and Yrel so I decided to go for creed of the hunter and manticore. They also had a Jaina and Kael so I decided to go for death dealer because they would not be safe for me to hit with mutishot. I basically carried the entire game and even had to soak for some time while they were feeding deathwing at the top dragon Knight shrine. Manticore also helped against the dragon knights even though we actually got most of them. The Sonya wasted the first Dragon Knight by pressing d though. It was kind of hard but I don't think they had a good healer. (I believe the Tyrande was outheaIed by the Uther) ended the game with top in xp siege damage and hero damage and I never even took the dragon Knight lol. Too be fair I think the Kael barely used his e and the Jaina never got a good ring of frost but the bonus speed from hot pursuit really helped with kiting Jaina, Deathwing and Yrel. Early game was kind of rough but come level 20 nothing could stop me. Speed and range helped ensure Deathwing never touched me. Strangely, he didn't seem to be targeting me even though I had manticore but was focusing the raynor

The main problem with low ranks is that everyone wants to carry and no ones macro. So if I want to win I have to be the macro slave. For soneone else to carry. Since if i try to carry no ones macri

20:20 wholeheartedly disagree, most people are not open to type communication. i would have agreed if you mentioned not pinging. but you dont want to type most of the time in game instead use pings. i can most certainly tell people that they should have listened to pings.

I can tell you another reason, why you don't go for AA-Build: It just deals less damage, even if you finish your quest early and even if you can keep autoattacking a target. Just do the math, it is WAY less damage.

The grenade talent is honestly just bad if you're really going for max dps. Shes a carry not a mage aoe damage doesnt matter the reset on hungering arrow is better because you can AA cancel pulling off more burat dmg, for example the Garrosh that baited you had you had the reset you coulda AAQAAEAAQAA and he wouldve been dead.

i prefer Lunara. The real killer is Lunara

What elo is this game? Must be bellow platinum, D2++ players wouldn't position like that

@tenoj He tells you off the bat that the build is proven effective in all ranks. This is like labbing in a fighting game, teaching a specific audience (newbies or people have a hard time learning the nuances of a hero) is the point of the video, not entertain with high level play in a high level match. It shows the low level players in silver, playing the way he did in their rank can help them rank up. NotParadox has always been about coaching and teaching. If you want hype matches Khaldor, or Fan can provide it for you.

ok.. it s not that bad for me.. but it s very hard to be in the top 5 at the end of the game, so don t be sad if you are not there. good part is that you will not die as much as with other builds

Well this video kinda sucked... As a valla main - she's a hypercarry by stats itself. All three builds are perfectly hyper if played well, just used in different maps/setups. In this video, most of burst was done by jaina. You kept pointing out how people are 'melted' by what, 600dmg? thats just a 1/4 hitpool. Most of the time they were standing in a blizzard and being hit by ice cone. Please remake the video, with proper rank gameplay footage and a team comp that you actually claim works with your 'hyper' build...

Tbh I feel that you did HUGE mistake by not calling ur team to finish through mid at 16:50, they probably would deff cuz of Falstad ult but thats not even sure. You were 4v2 20v18. This way the game would be 7 minutes shorter - read 7 minutes less for enemy to have chance for comeback and ur team doing more dumb mistakes. This is thing in low ranks that theyre always missing - opportunity to finish game, they just go do camps, get not so important obj and in 1/4 cases game that was almost won is getting lost instead. I feel like that's aspect that you're quite missing in your videos. When you do huge play/get value like here 3 for 1 - finish game/take down fort/get BOSS (not simple camps). Your team have high chances to listen especially if you're good player and they kinda follow you. In early Dec. I was banned for 7 days for being toxic so I decided after few days to make smurf. In 2 days i made it to lvl 50, got placed silver 4 and climbed to gold 5 with ~80% WR. Only ppl i was teaming up with were true silver that were doing typical mistakes but they also were following the pings and call outs making it easy. If you got game sense to know what to do you could even be afk and it won't hurt so much under condition than ppl trust in ur calls and follow them.

Valla is probably the strongest overall assassin in the game... if enabled. Her damage potential, both sustain and burst, is ridiculous and she even provides CC with Rain of Vegenance. If not enabled, she will die if anyone on the enemy team even sneezes at her.

Alarak frowns upon this bullshit. Actually he doesn't cuz he's banned almost every game. Even not enabled he will just CS and Last Laugh from danger (or just simply TK)

@@truthteller6116 I don't play too much Alarak, but I thought he has very little sustained damage. The wonderfulness of Valla is that she has BOTH high sustained damage to whittle enemies down and high burst damage to finish them off. Of course, with enough Sadism, you don't need sustain damage to whittle enemies down as you just 100->0 everything, but that's not a reliable strategy outside of smurf stomps. At least, based on how I have seen Alarak players perform in the past.

I'd say if I'm needing to hard carry and do alot of damage, valla is still number one. If i don't trust the people I'm playing with I'd rather pick fenix or raynor. But nothing beats a valla dancing into an enemy team. Q build for racing and burst, auto attack build for numpties who didn't draft cc And this w one I haven't tried as I'd normally just pick a mage for aoe damage personally.

Just say carry... Calling it something stupid like Hypercarry doesn't make it so as it's just being a carry. Doing your job doesn't make it hyper... Doing a smurf in lower ranks is just sad. Smurfing honestly should be banned as in a way it's a form of cheating and makes it harder for others. Also, this build has been around for awhile... If you go to sites like Psionic-Storm for builds it's under Miltishot.

It's because he is not playing Hypercarry...Hypercarry had its prime in 2017 when you had Double Support+Double Tank and 1 Ranged Assassin(typically Valla, Lunara). He calls it Hypercarry and has JAINA(!) and Sonya(which is the most melee-assassin-like bruiser in the game) in his team so it wouldn't matter if he died, his team could still win a teamfight if the enemy used multiple ults on him. Hypercarry means that when you die->your team has 0 dmg->teamfight is lost, that's why with the upcoming of more and more burst and CC heroes it just became to ineffective to keep one single assassin alive that can be shut down too easily. This video should have been made 2,5 years ago.... Oh yeah and the Multishot build is ofc known since day 1 of Vallas rework.
