This was a great interview. Lengthy, but the most in depth about the fuel cell and the EV power train capabilities. Wish you talked more about the infrastructure build out, Hyla, and the mobile fueling solutions that are offered for those companies that would want to try the FCEV Tre now. I believe Nikola is on to something big, and they are out front leading the way. Really pulling for them to succeed. And like Christian said, we are living in an extraordinary time period of transition.

The Tesla Semi did 1'076 miles in a single day during the run on less event so I really don't see what's the advantage of hydrogen. Fast charging 30 minutes instead of filling the hydrogen tank in a few minutes doesn't really make a big difference since there are mandatory breaks anyways.

350 miles max on a single charge .. 3 rechargings necessary during this trip .. and a 24 hour test .. don´t think the FCEV will fall behind this achievment in any way ..

@@patgee81 It has 500 miles of range fully loaded. They leave 10% range to be safe just like a FCEV does. They start the day at 100% but it's true that for all rechargings after that they don't go over 80% unlike a FCEV which has fast charging all the way to 100%

Industrial scale hydrogen production using Natural Gas or Water. Which one.?
Tesla M3 $0.04/mi V6 Camry $0.13/mi Mirai (H2) $0.50/mi An H2 car costs 4x more to fuel than a typical gas car (and 10x more than electric). Why does your truck cost the same as fueling a diesel truck?

Its because they are subsidizing the cost of hydrogen themselves ,giving a discount to their customers that is one of the reasons why the company is losing so much money

Where is the Infrastructure for Hydrogen powered trucks. Not many truckstops with Hydrogen pumps. Nice truck, but the Infrastructure needs to be in place for them to work.
burning hydrogen in a spark based ignition system using atmospheric air full of nitrogen creates Nitrous acid Nitric acid that cause acid rain.

This is just a based on case studies where industrial oil and natural gas plants were switched to hydrogen burning plants and analyzed the pollutants. If these numbers for nitrous oxide nitric acid are overestimated, like Georgia tech thinks, certainly internal combustion engines that aren’t at a full scale industrial plant level of pollution are not a relevant concern.

Nikola trucks are fuel cell vehicles, yeah? Fuel cells directly convert hydrogen to electricity. They don’t burn hydrogen.

So 1 kg of hydrogen is roughly equal to 1 gallon of diesel, right? How much does a kg of H2 cost? $5? $6?
Millions of pounds are burned and wasted in something called flaring at oil wells , cant they turn all that into hydrogen? Instead
Only half of the country get snow that thing's going to get stuck quick

You must be talking bout the past Nikola is a new chapter has come a long way and has lots of potential, clean energy transportation is currently being mandated and at least customers will have options available
