    I have Tamron17-70 f2.8 lens which doesn't have the aperture ring. So when I change it from the front button dial, the aperture always starts from f22 in the video mode. Is there any way to reverse it so that it starts from f2.8?

  • @colinhoward2200
    @colinhoward2200 Жыл бұрын

    Great video, and I am pretty much the same. The ability to be able to separate the photo settings via the dials on top, and the video settings via the front and back wheels is cool. I extend the mode switching use case a little further actually. I use the Custom Settings a lot esp for video as I like to be able to switch between say 4K 30p, 4K HQ, 4K 60 and 1080p 240 (each with the shutter speed set accordingly to the 180 degree rule). I set the button left of the menu button to select the custom settings and they all appear with labels on the LCD and it is quick to select them. This seems way better to me than selecting C1-C7 on the PASM dial of the X-H2 cameras as 1) you can have 7 settings each for video and photos, and 2) you don't have to remember what they are as they are labelled. This seems to be rarely discussed benefit in terms of it being a better hybrid camera than the X-H2 variants - it just seems a lot easier to to me.

  • @erenjam

    I have a question: I record lengthy nature scenes (birds, squirrels etc) and need a camera that will record continuously for several hours. I currently use the Sony A6400 which will record for 10 hours straight on a 256GB Card and on A/C power. I would prefer to use my Fujifilm XT2 with unlimited A/C power via the battery grip, as it’s got much better quality but the video time limits make it impractical to press record every 30 minutes. I’ve heard that the XT5 has no video recording time limits (until battery exhausts or memory card fills up) but has no power grip to plug in a/c power. Can the xt5 connect to A/C power, enabling several continuous hours of recording footage? If not, can you recommend a camera (preferably from the fujifilm family) that can? Thank you.

There's talk about how xt5 is a photography first camera, but given the price and specs on this, and given you can bring out the results as good as you on the video, it really isn't much far behind than the xh2s. The flip screen, 120fps 4k, negligible rolling shutter really isn't a deal breaker especially when you look at the price difference.

    Amazing footage. But how does this appear so much film like? Video I mean. Did you use dehancer? If not, what's the magic here? :-)

    I want to buy a brand new Fujifilm camera. I am torn between the XT4 and the XT5. I own a Canon M50 and a Sony a6000, and gotta tell you that I simply adore the touch and tiltable screen on the M50. So, I would prefer the screen of the XT4 over the XT5. As someone who has used both, would you recommend the XT5 over the XT4? Is it true that only some few lenses take full use of the 40MP sensor in the XT5? Thank you for your content, btw!

    Huge thanks. The XT4 is great value at the moment, the 40mp sensor is nice but it doesn't make a huge difference to the end result.

    Can it replace Xt4 in video? Will it gave more cinematic look,depth in the footage

    Won’t be a huge difference between the xt4 and xt5 with video. Xt5 can record higher quality but for most use cases the X-T4 is more than good enough

    Eren‘s presets are so, so worth it. Grab them, I always use them if I want the cinematic look.

    Hey Eren, i heard LR gives some worms etc on the fuji files do you think they are quite bad etc and should get capture 1 instead. Asking as im weighing up buying xt5 or sony a7iv. Thanks 😁

    That was an issue a couple years back with older Fuji sensors, I don’t really ever see the worm issue with photos I’ve been taking on the XT4 or XT5

    i always see people that shoots fuji using Lightroom as the raw editor... but to me, in my xt20 some shots the worms are so obvius that i kinda dont like LR, even with no sharpness added... how is your experience with Lightroom and how you deal with those ''worms''? is it any better on these new sensor?

    With the newer version of LR, as far as I know this issue was resolved. Maybe the issue persists on Fuji's older sensors?
