The moment the game started with "I'm in a cell but I'm not chained up and my doors unlocked," I was like, "Then you're not a prisoner." I knew where the game was going from then on. Imagine if Lily turned out to be the mastermind killer. That would have been a huge twist!

Man... On one hand I give the game credit for having the guts to kill a child character. A lot of stories about "villians" will often omit women, children, animals, etc. from the villian's rampage. Whether by convenience or some small shred of humanity. But realistically, a truly evil person would just kill everyone, regardless of age, sex, etc. At the same time, though, it does wrench at the heart strings, and I can't stand stories where the villians achieve a flawless victory. Especially a victory so brutal and cruel.

There is actually multiple endings. Specifically, 3 in total. I think you get them by playing the game a second and third time or it's based on your choices. Maybe one of the endings is a "payback" of sorts.

The twist may have been predicted, but I was not prepared for that title screen. That's the right level of a gut punch for the player, right at the end. Manly correctly predicting the twist definitely added to this, as it allowed his singing of the lullabies to better fit the protagonist.

Just recently happened to fall on your channel through KZread recommendation and I instantly fell in love with your channel. I like watching Let's Plays frequently but the majority of people are loud and scream but you keep your cool and show multiple endings if the story comes with it and I appreciate it a lot. plus you have a soothing voice I have almost fallen asleep listening to you talk until something spooks me

(spoilies!) honestly i thought that we were playing as the monster’s partner who is very tired of our serial killer husband’s antics. and maybe also we’re going through a spat (and that he ripped out the part of our photo) so we’re helping out this little girl just to spite him. lowkey wishing that we let the little girl go in the end because of that, i feel like that would have been more interesting. (and maybe it could help them sort out their relationship problems! like couples therapy!) also? if monster evil why cute?

It's really stupid, there's not much real gameplay involved even. I don't think you can lose in this game and the twist was predictable. Man, perhaps they could FINALLY be original and make a straightforward plot? At this point, having the protagonist NOT be "evil all along" would be a plot twist in itself.

God damn it the ending spoiler. I really thought the MC would sacrifice himself/herself so Lily could escape but turns out to be just toying with her giving her hope and making her trust the MC only to give her despair and killing in the end because you're in cahoots with the killer which is your partner.. The main menu change also... man... Well, the game was already giving hints from the second mask to the picture. RIP Lily. It's not spooky but sad.

Omg yes yes yes i knew it, from the start, and manly literally kept making similar points to what i was thinking. But here's something i noticed that made me further think that the character you were playing wasn't all he seemed to be. 1. As manly stated, they continuously used "hope" and told Lily to remain "hopeful" 2. In the room with the bodies, he said "food" 3. The picture was of two men, because i thought that the arm the smiling dude was holding was obviously from another man as it was thick and the shoulder indicated the other person was taller. And you're conveniently playing as a very suspicious man 4. The "monster", if you look closely at the clothes the man in the picture, he is wearing the same clothes as the "monster" in the scene when they were heading to the exit. Lots more nuances in the dialogue, too. "I'm in this game too." and honestly just all the singing, i mean who can ad-lib rhyming lines for a nursery song

Good? These twists are predictable and boring. Maybe it'd be nice to have a good ending once in a while? Protagonist being evil all along is overused twist and in game where you cannot really lose or make many choices it's even worse. This game was just bad and that's an understatement.

Like though having to play through a game that's unpredictable and has many choices is nice and all, and though it is done many times, it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad for a game to be predictable and not be 100% original. Sometimes it's just fun to watch the story unfold and not have to think too much about it.

I don't know how to feel about the game. The art is nice, the twist is pretty bold. But the ending leaves you with an empty feeling. Not in a good way, more like "this wasn't worth it" way. Though if that was the authors untention, I guess they succedeed.

I think the storytelling could use a bit of improvement. It gives all the attention to Lilly and how innocent she is, making you feel like something bad will happen and also not really directing your attention to other things. You kind of... Just walk around with Lilly, that's it. It would be a bit interesting if you had some puzzeles, though it's just the opinion of someone who is more interested in pizzle solving than reading. Overall the game accomplishes it's purpose and sets the atmoshphere pretty well! It makes you emphatize with Lilly and tells you about her, which makes the ending pretty impactful. The starting screen at the end especially.

The door is usually locked doesn't imply that he's inside all the time. Locked containing some other prisoner? Or else it would be 'i am usually locked inside' but it wasn't worded that way

It’s the player character being an unreliable narrator so that you the player are deceived. Also he probably prefers being the one who tricks their victims into having a false sense of security.

This was so cruel, i wish there was a true ending where the player takes care of lily instead of being such monster with their partner/the monsters take care of her cuz the player changes their mind dangit

That gift box suddenly appearing at the end with that sound effect was such mood whiplash lmao

So... when you have a good soft singing voice like mine and sing the lullaby. It turns pretty sinister. I seriously gave myself goosebumps.

28:27 let's be honest though, he could've pulled the legs from under the monster possibly making him fall with his head on that desk, possibly diarming him. edit: oh nooooOOOOOOOO...Now it all makes sense...

30 minutes in and your constant "what if we're the monster" is making me think - what if there's two monsters and they feed in different ways, so they cooperate when hunting their prey? ... shoot there was a kids' series I read when I was little, there was a monster that made you laugh yourself to death and one that made you cry yourself to death. Obviously, you do the opposite to fight them... and then the protagonist runs into both at once.
