@@elizabethclarke4981 The jobs in the industry are in too high demand so you will most likely end up going freelance but if you do you are competing with the billions of other graphic designers that couldn't find a job in the industry so went freelance also. I wouldn't recommend becoming an art student in general, it isn't practical honestly

Considering the devs and how the outside is written in spanish, one could assume this takes place in Argentina. So my head cannon is that because there are some typos in the papers it could be that some Argentinian scientist wanted to create a Demidog but accidentally misspelled Demigod and the rest of the english speaking staff rolled with it lol.

This is based in a case in Argentina where a dog killed 3 kids and dog was sacrificed. Devs lived near and based on this.

1- manly feels danger 2- manly's curiosity take him out of cover 3- dog kills him 4- manly laughs menacingly

Even with his super enhanced human-dog-demigod-senses, he can't sense a child, hiding under a table.

The walk cycle is indeed goofy. His stippy steps are absolutely ridiculous. But he'll I wish it wasn't attached to that model. Normally uncanny things don't get me, but that does. I love these kinda horror games, with relaxing ambience & "old school" pixel appearance. Easy to relax to, while something eerie is still around the corner... bonus points if no high volume jumpscare ruining it all. Time for me to sleep to this.

Yea and , the player could have a big fight against the dog. It ends with the player about to bash its head in. But the dog whimpers and the player realizes it’s Tony. They sit by the dog as it dies.

I love how multiple times the shotgun you're character was too dumb to pick is referenced.

This game is unironically great? The little RE references, the save room!!, the music, TOMY and his little dumb face, _tennis balls,_ it's got it all!

Combining them both prob turns their species into one which has all these power things but there are still medium parts of both species left in it that explains the weakness to balls and walking on two legs

The way you kept mentioning Resident Evil really made me think about how much this game seems inspired by it. The lab aesthetic, the mutations, the music when the main Antagonist is close or chasing you, even a safe room with a chest and some calming music lol. I wonder if it was intentionally made as a Resident Evil parody, since it's a little sillier of a concept, or if it's genuinely a fan inspired enough to make their own little game. In general I find the analog retro style of horror games overdone, but one thing I do like about them is that it gives horror fans opportunities to make a fun, scary game, with fewer resources than Capcom or Konami, even if it is a little amateur. I certainly couldn't do better lol

Interesting game, not terribly threatning but the dogs footsteps being nearly omnipresent at the end was pretty spooky, and the do'sg pursuit / searching music is pretty effective at creating dread! :D

There's something really funny about like, Umbrella Corporation, but instead of zombies, they have dogs

So from the notes it seems you ARE the test for God Dog and your actual dog is the bait to get you there.

It's a little hard to take seriously but my god is Ruben terrifying. I think it needs some touching up but there's some serious potential here.

This game had atmosphere. I can definitely see a part 2 coming from this. Umbral is definitely a nod to resident evil. Love it. The ball definitely needs to be throwable, and it would be scarier if the dog man would drop on all 4s and really run at you. But it was definitely scary as is. Somw howls when you get away or something might add to the overall atmosphere too

This would actually work as B movie Horror Slock..... *and I kind wish they did it.*

I'm not even joking when I say this game give me goosebumps, I don't know why but this concept and the whole monster it's just f*ckign scary to me, I never felt so uncomfortable with a game, specially in in the scene where we are hiding in that room full of tanks, seeing the monster through the cameras and feeling anxiety. Normally in midia it's common having the image of kids and dogs with this friendship and taking care bond, but here, we kinda have this with the protagonist being a kid searching for his dog BUT also escaping from a scary mandog. It would be great having this game in a extended or a sequel.

_What is the Law_ "Not to spill blood. That is the Law. Are we not men?" Those quotes about the Law from Island of Lost Souls always come back to haunt every movie or game about animal/human hybrid experimentation. And there is always that horrible underlying tragedy, like the specimens in the tubes here. I liked the game's premise, the end music made me tear up a little lol. I thought the footsteps and the music for the 'monster' were excellent and very creepy. I thought the filter effects were a bit heavy, but I guess it added to the atmosphere. It comes down to the same question about all scientific breakthroughs - just because we _can_ doesn't mean we should.

I assume to get a five star you need to kill Ruben with the gun, but I don’t think he deserves that tbh let him kill all the scientists, I think four star is best ending

Nah, it’s kinda basic. Just scientists experiment on an obviously evil monster. You come in and save something or someone and escape. While narrowly avoiding the monster. If they made the dog man Tony and gave you no real way to escape. It would be a little more interesting
