Snake is a character that is simultaneously difficult to play and difficult to play against. Even if you know the match-up, Snake still sometimes stonewalls a good majority of the cast. He's a very expressive character that demands a lot of skill out of everyone involved. People are still optimizing combo routes and recoveries. His meta relavence and the recent uptick in performance courtesy of Hurt, Dio, and AK, is enough credence for me to say he's top 10, maybe a little better.

@@briyzzie3309Tottori, Chugoku. It’s a good distance away from venues/top players. So he gets a lot of WiFi practice in. He played Acola and Rizeasu online a lot so I’m not surprised he beat both Soar and Leo.

The last Snake major win to my knowledge was Ally at Pound 2019.

Your thumbnail is only a mild spoiler which is WAY better than your past thumbnails. However its on US to watch the tournament in a timely matter. You gotta make ur money so you gotta push the video out ASAP. Larry Lurr and EEvisu have made it easier to watch these events in full without accidentally stumbling into a grand finals spoiler or your post tourney vids, thanks for being considerate tho,

Not that this is a big deal but I kinda don't get the mini-narrative about Sparg0 maybe having a snake issue partway in when he seems to consistently have beaten every Snake that isn't AlanDiss every time he plays them. Comparing his set count to multiple top and high level snakes, the only other Snake besides Hurt that I could find taking sets off him was AlanDiss, who Sparg0 is 15-3 on offline (23-3 overall).

⁠​⁠@@Afatdragon whether or not a DA can cross up depends on how far forward that character moves during their DA and how wide the collisionbox is for the opponent. some DAs that can cross up a skinny character like ZSS may not be able to cross up bowser. DAs that do cross up must be started at a closer range to the opponent. good spacing can make it ambiguous on whether or not a DA will cross up.

I'm doubtful that people will have a pocket Snake tbh. I feel he's a high maintenance character. Plus, he's relatively unique. Much more feasible to play multiple swordies, or FGC characters. I find him fun to watch, if not fun to play against lol
