I love that look! My car had a hurst shifter on it when I bought it in 2004. A chrome shifter, white knob, and plate came up for sale used. The shifter hits the plate. I don't understand why it doesn't fit.

What kind of shifter?

Rubber boots installed wrong on bezel. Instructions say to put shortest end of slot toward the rear of car.

Agreed. However, on my car, the boot fit better this way with the shifter location.

Guide works for the Thunderbird turbo coupe as well, thanks

Just picked this up for my 1999 Cobra. Can’t wait to install. What’s the brass looking spacer for ? Just and FYI. On your intro. You put the wrong part number

Brass looking spacer? That may be for T45 transmissions. Check the instructions.

You wouldn’t happen to have a pro 5.0 shifter lying around that you could see if the hurst handle would fit onto would you?

I recall the bolt pattern is the same between the Hurst and the Pro 5.0, so the hurst handles will fit and vice versa.

Hi! Going to do a C-6 Auto trans back to 4 speed Top loader for my 67, 460 built Mustang. What you got that would apply to this set up?? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks and cheers from Motown.

No, the TKX shifter is different than the T-5. TKO shifters fit the TKX.

would this work with a tko transmission?

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party and Gretas FFF movement gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now these green heroes want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions- and smoke crime :-(
