I had never even heard of Barton, I’ve always been a Pro 5.0 loyalist but the construction on the Barton is the best I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing.

Love the content! Got my Barton ST Shifter last week for my '09 GT. Installed it on my Blowfish Racing Remote Shifter bracket (converts to full trans mount) & all is GOOD! Love the short throws AND the narrow shift gates and with it mounted on the BR bracket the shifter is very solid in feel. I kept the OEM look w\ mine. Worth it's weight in gold!

Went with Barton on my 2011 Roush Shamal. I had already upgraded the clutch, hyd line, and added the Blowfish Bracket, also a carbon fiber driveshaft. That was several months ago. Shift issues were only partly fixed. Today installed the Barton Shifter, a new shifter cup, and a Whiteline trans bushing with a hole drilled in it. The NVH is not an issue. Actually I like the sound better than before. So finally the shift is fixed. The factory shifter was just so loose. In hindsight, perhaps I could have gone MGW, but finally, am totally happy with the set up. The shifts are so notchy, so positive. To enter reverse, it requires a firm push down but no worries.

I had Roush STS, Barton, and MGW, they are all pretty good but MGW I love the most in my Mach1

After watching videos and reading lots of reviews i went with MGW. There was a ton of people changing out hurst and barton for their shifters. Just a hint. There usually on sale on big weekends! Order up.

Barton short throw is definitely the way to go for slamming gears and getting the power down just a little faster! Love your videos man. Keep up the good work

You should check out the bremer sequential shifter for the tr3650 05-09 gt those are awesome!

Haven't had a Barton Shifter but seen some reviews, and it's seems like it's made of good quality.

i got so used to the stock, but this is just sooo much better

I think for $350 that’s an amazing price for it. Has very good quality and weight behind it. I would love to get one. My shifter actually gets stuck and it’s really hard to go from 1st gear to 2nd gear just because my car sat for a very long time but it’s up and running again. Now it’s time to turn it into a best ! It’s a 2008 3v with 28,000 miles on it !!

Nate if you think that the stock throws in your s197 is long, you definitly need to try a sn95 stock shifter. Its like changing gears in a semi truck lol. And this is a work computer.

You said Hurst reuses factory bushings , " not true " they come with delrin and must be pressed in . Hurst does come with stops , un- needed , because the trans has built in stops . The real secret to fast shifts is a bigger inside diameter hydraulic clutch line . The factory clutch line will not flow enough fluid to activate the clutch upon fast shifts , causing grinds and failure . Take heed , I know what I'm talking about , from extreme experience .

Guy Noir so what size clutch line did you change out too, if you made that change? Just got back into the Mustang scene again with a modded 07 and I wouldn’t mind changing that out if it’ll open up possibilities for faster shifts.

@@toxicxenom3811 “MGW shifters” !! Quality shit. It’s been good . Shorter throws for sure . I dont know how is it compared to other ones like Barton maybe it feels more pleasurable when getting into the gates because mgw feels abit stiff but it’s also adjustable to make it stiffer or not but it’ll have an impact on the throws . While the car is rolling thou it shifts like butter . But in the morning cold starting it putting it in 1st it’s a bit annoying but shift it back n forth it’ll smooth it out. It’s a hell lot better than stock though!!!!

Would be tons of fun to have !!!! You know giving them Chevy boys a run for their money if you know what I mean 😆

Great choice!! MGW and Hurst need adjustments,I'm told.Not the Barton.Drop in and go!An easy install,also.First thing i did to my bone stock '06 GT last year when i got it,and i love the thing!Check out the Ford Performance one piece driveshaft.Retails for 800 bucks.LMR sells it for $618.Saves weight and gets rid of that clunk.Good video! Might want to invest in some safety glasses when working under the car...Good luck!
