I love the red dress, too. Are all the channels dressing their women in red? I despise these weather people. They are complicit in the loss of life, and property, for not reporting the truth. Prayers for those in the line of destruction.

Shelley slater What truth are they not reporting? They data from the NHC and report it on television? In the path of the Hurricane? Prepare and leave. And this point, everyone should now it's going to at the very least skirt the coast which is still bad.

youknow they say the east side of the storm is worse so its better if it only clips florida on that west side. It still wont be pretty if that a cat 5 hitting but if it were a bulls eye and they got nailed by the east side of it too, that would be catastrophic.

whats, of course its going to hit florida and miami especially bad. This storm is a radius of 150 miles wide so all of florida will be impacted.

I don't want to sound mean or anything, but this is what I call karma. All this past days, all the weather news of America... keep on saying, thankfully it will hit the Caribbean Islands, and Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic and so on.... so that the storm could hopefully ship more east and go north and hopefully miss Florida because of the winds and so on... but all of those hopefully; look what it did to the Caribbean Island, my island Puerto Rico... what it could do to the Dominican... even Cuba and so on... people have die, and houses and cities completely destroy... this is just so wrong... how they always speak, sounds like they just want the worst for the rest of the World and just the best for them and that's why it's happening what's happening...I live in Colorado, I love the United States and the people. But karma is a bit** look what happen to Texas with Harvey, what happen to the mountains a few days later in California, and so on.. literally on fire... and look what's happening now. Probably Irma will hit Florida completely from south to north... I always say. Don't hope for the best for your state.. but hope for the best for everyone else that will get destroy... the islands of The Carribe, completely ate the entire eye of the Hurricane and people died... like come on people. :/ I hope this don't get people mad or offend anyone, but this is my point of view.. it may not be karma. But on moments like today. We should all be praying for everyone. Regardless what. Not just for our own.

The mentality that they should be crushed as a sort of compensation for the islands of which people like myself donated to in spite of the imminent threat of living in South Florida now is preposterous. It's easy for toxic people like yourself living in Colorado to say that we'll get destroyed and you won't hope for our well being, but why would we need vain words from you to ensure our well being. My family doesn't have the best finances and tries their best to support other individuals from your country tirelessly, so please get off your high horse and make a change for once, instead of hoping that innocent people die. There are people that served to ensure your protection and freedom, cancer patients in hospitals, do you hope they get crushed too? Please think before you spread your awful words.

Christian Ortiz No it's fine, I understood what you said, and I understand where you are coming from and how us saying that the hurricane hitting those islands was a good thing is so far from the mentality that most believe here. We have numerous hurricane relief funds in stores and schools. The newscasters should not represent what a mass cultural group believes. Thus, our contributions seemed to be presented as nothing with the way you said that this was "karma." They were just presented an awful problem at the wrong place, which we tried to alleviate. So I would just appreciate it if you would not say that being crushed is justified.
