Hunting Land as an Investment - Ten Ways to Make Money Buying Land

Hunting land as an investment. Buying recreational land can be a good investment if you treat is as an investment. Here are ten ways to generate income from your hunting land.
When buying hunting land, consider the possibilities for getting a return on your land investment.
Land investing is so much more fun that houses sense you dont have all the headaches involved in owning houses and trying to rent them out.
Having a piece of hunting land to spend quality time with your family or even alone time to be closer to nature is priceless.

Another great video sir please keep them coming. I purchased my 200 acres in WV almost 30 years ago. After watching your videos I have contacted the state foresters for my farm and they are coming out July 2nd to go over my property and develop plans for enrolling my property as a managed timber land and see what other government programs I qualify for. We have been improving the property for a long time but I had a bad logger on my last timber thinning and I need to reclaim the areas and roads he messed up. Now 30 years later having land and improving it is important as my income level has increased over the years and I might as well be spending money to upgrade my hunting land. Overall I wanted to say thanks for your channel and I'm learning a lot from you as our soil in WV is a little less rocky than PA but the weather only slightly warmer than Central PA. My food plots are being created in previously forested lands so your videos are spot on for me. I want to find out more on potential enrollment in the waste of taxpayer money on the carbon credit scheme.

Good stuff here. My family sold our 500 acre ranch that was covered in hardwoods here in the Texas Post Oak Belt. I have been saving and planning to buy my own acreage…but at 32 years old I’m 100% focused on anything that cash flows and appreciates. This helps combine the financial goals with recreational hunting/personal goals

Maple syrup, Christmas trees, camping permits are other ideas. If you harvest trees you will pay taxes depending on your status. Status is defined as a hobby, investor, or business.

I'm looking at land that is labeled recreational land. I guess you can camp and hunt on it. In that case, can I camp on the land full time? Can I rent camping spaces and things like that? The only thing is it's surrounded by BIA so I'm wondering what the risks are ...

Spring water is a tough one. I have had investors try to sell it but the local govt really hates the idea. Can be lucrative if you can make it happen. You must be careful not to draw down the local aquifer and folks nearby may have trouble getting well water. Surface spring water collected is best but I really dont know much about the process. Never had anyone successfully get a deal with a water company

I just payed off and signed the deed to 12 acres of forest land with a creek. I bought it because it was cheap and I like camping/hiking. I’m also a photographer and have an LLC. Now I have no idea what I’m doing. Right now this land is a liability. Would it be smart to record the land under my LLC? Also, do you have videos on things you can do if you own mountainous land? I’m glad I found your channel. I’m just a guy that wanted to own my own camping area with I water supply.
