Hunting BACKWOODS BASS In A Hidden GEM! (Return to Fisherman's Heaven)

Спорт

In this bass fishing video we go out to a backwoods hidden pond full of bass. We set out today on the mission for a true giant as we know one lives in here from a prior fishing mission. Although the small size of this body of water, this pond could very well hold a double digit bass… Join us as we set out on the mission in search for that giant fish.

I will NEVER forget that fateful day at this very pond. It was very early in the Abronski boys' fishing journey and as I recall, the weather was a bit chilly, foggy, and drizzly ... you might say almost spookey. None of that mattered, though, as Ben and Nolan were on a mission. It was sometime near the end of the morning, in the eerie silence, when we all heard it. "It" was this sort of half sentence - the kind you might hear in a horror movie as the beast emerges from the shadows and its prey loses their mind from disbelief. "OH MY GAAA...!!" We snapped our attention across the pond. Nolan's rod looked like a curly fry having a bad hair day. Little Nolan looked like a ghost walking straight into a Cat 5 hurricane. The monster had been found!! Or perhaps more appropriately - the monster had found lil' Nolan. For what seemed like an eternity, we watched their battle. No one uttered a word. I'm not sure if any of us knew what to even think. Surely this wasn't a fish. But it was. And not just ANY fish. This was THE fish. The biggest bossiest bass ever. And what as undeniably apparent was this: the big boss was pissed! Nolan's rod moved about like caffeinated monkey on a pogo stick. For me, it all simply looked a bit unreal. Like a movie was being played on the other side of the this haunted pond. And then it happened. In an instant, that curly fry of a fishing rod snapped back to being more of a No. 2 pencil. The line had broke. The spectators were dumbstruck. The fisherman was crushed. As none of us had yet spoken a word, Nolan knelt to the ground and wrapped his head with his arms. I think he remained like that for several minutes. The monster had won today. But the contest was not over and we now knew where the big boy called home. Simply thought I'd share one of my fondest memories from this epic pond.

Thanks for the video.... I'd love to have a pond to fish! Question: what's that sound when you cast? Is it around effect you add during editing? Just curious.

Yeah man that sound is the reel. There is this thing called DC (digital control) it’s like a chip that reads the speed of your spool and helps cast, it makes that sound. Thanks for watching

If you had to choose between the excesence dc the one you currently have or the shimano scorpion dc 2021 which one you say? I’m stuck between both , don’t have a specific technique I’m trying go just thinking about get a new reel but both of those have my eye

Yeah man depends, I’ve only had the excense for a bit and it’s been great. I think if you were to go on the heavier side for baits the excense, the more regular side probably the curado DC.
