never saw a side hookjob before.pretty good idea..i have used real gellgrammites on a bobber floatin down river.2 avid catfish men showed me and said in a float trip they caught a indane # of fish in the monocacy river in md.they had stringers of channel catfish with prob .30 catfish total. this was about 20 years ago .so im gonna try usin the yum on a zman head, a bobber with either a wacky hook or a sm wide gap worm hook .

i judt bought the yum off amazon. i have a few dadecplastic hellgies.but havent used em yet. 2 bags black, 2 greenn ppk. 2 natural 1 nat.there like 2.5, or 3 inch.very real lookim i got yum in mid summer night.hlad 2 see they work nice bass i use wacky worm and catch tiny largies on it.some med and a few monsters. i use it caude its 1 of the only lures i get bit on.

Great job! Looked like an awesome day at the creek. Those smallies are so fun to catch, even the little ones. Crazy you caught that big one right after switching to the hellgrammite. I still haven't tried them. Gonna have to pick up a pack.

Thanks! It was a good time. I'll take any size big or small, just happy to be out there. That big one was pretty fast, probably only 2 or 3 cast after switching if I remember correctly. i have some casec pladtics hellgies there smaller and more realistic than yum i feel.more true to size.the ones we use to buy from a small store were 5 buvks a dozen and some were 2.5 in some 2 inch and maybe 1 or 2 were 3 in..some real sm 1.5 too.they stink.they came in a styrofoam cup with 4 brown w wet leaves and they pinch the shit out of you when u hook em.bass hit em so hard they tore em off the hook

I'm in Pennsylvania. This is a local creek, and its a pretty decent one for small mouth. Doesn't always produce the biggest small mouth, but the bite is usually pretty good.
