Fluke Fishing From Shore (Summer Flounder)

Спорт

Jigging Fluke (Summer Flounder) in NYC. It was a fun day hitting up the bay and spot hopping. Seems like everything is fully awake and its fish on.

The drag was not set correctly and sometimes I will do that to get a feel of how I need to adjust it without turning the dial. Turning the drag dial while fighting a fish can be a no no because drags can slip and you can lose the fish from lack of tension

Weather and tides, moon phase. I spend a ton of time prepping fishing trips dialing it all in beforehand. It doesn’t always work out, but pattern fishing is how my brain breaks it down and is very productive

That happens, especially as the waters warming on the new and full moon. Current moves the seaweed around. Try the ocean side if its bad like that or the river
