I ordered a 1903A1 Springfield in very good condition 25 years ago. What I received 90+ days after my check was cashed was a battlefield relic. The rifle was missing parts, the metal had been spray painted with cold galvanizing. Bore condition was a pitted smoothbore. Also the stock was cracked and missing part of the fore end. After many attempted calls a woman answered and said there was nothing she could do. My uncle was an attorney, he wrote them a threatening letter. It went on and on they finally took the rifle back and I got my money back less shipping both ways and my time and my uncles time. Swore I would never deal with them again. I can’t believe they are still in business. I’ve never heard anything good about them since. The gun show boys all said they have a terrible reputation. If they are finally out of business what took so long?

Still going. I have no idea. Some people seem to have good experiences with them. I had to try and see for myself. Now I know. At least I have something I can use or trade in the future. Everyone that missed out on the good 'ol days are always looking for some kind of "deal".

I have an yugo that looks like new on the outside but the bore was badly pitted. It still shot well enough but I was able to purchase a new old stock barrel from numrich gun parts and had it installed by a local gunsmith. With all of that I'm still into it for less than 600 and basically a new sks.

You should do a cosmoline flight. Like sniff different cosmolines and say what country and year and vintage it is. Also you should stab a pumpkin or something with that sweet bayonet. Maybe cut a pizza or something. Speaking of pizza. I heard lil Caesar’s can bring back the pretzel pizza anytime they want but the government doesn’t want us to know that. Is that true?

I just received a WW2 Mosin Nagant 91/30 made in 1931 from Hunters Lodge, it was $378 for the rifle, I paid $20 for hand select and $31 for sling and cleaning rod. I am really happy with what I got, it's dirty, but has a lot of bluing left on receiver/barrel, no cracks in the stock (does show a lot of use), the bore is dirty, but very good rifling. I am definitely buying another mil surp from Hunters Lodge.

It wasn't long ago that you could get this same gun in pristine and new condition (in tons of grease) for $399. Based on the condition of this gun you got, I wouldn't call this a deal at all. And waiting for 3 months to receive it? This is one of the many things that concern me about this company. Are they importing these guns one at a time only when ordered? Do they actually have in house inventory? If so, why the extreme wait? Something awful wrong with this company. It's a shame that collecting has come down to a company like this or RTI... I personally would never buy junk at such high prices.. I'd pay $300 for this gun - no more.

Very good question and the reason I did this in the first place. I thought the same in terms of cleaning and waiting so I rolled the dice. I knew the wait would be long, just wanted to see if something nice would show up. Im happy with this purchase as it cleaned up well but cautious about the future. Thanks for watching!

So many, trouble is...not much surplus to go around these days. There is some but the price point puts it in another bracket. ( J&G, empire arms, axis, classic, AIM, DK, etc.)

Dont forget about Samco Global Arms who was the largest importer of YUGO SKSs in late 2000s.

Does anyone get a good gun from Hunters Lodge?

Surprisingly, some people still do. After some parts replacement and some serious bore cleaning, it turned out fine. Would have been much easier to just purchase a good example from someone else in the first place.

@@MidwesternFC My Mauser listed as good was infact "good" as in functional but no matching numbers. my $100 Mausers were what you would expect for $100. Not disappointed but you have to have managed expectations.
