I've fallen down the "I'm gonna research autism because I want to understand my autistic friends better" to "oh all my friends are autistic because I too am autistic" to "all my favorite characters are now autistic, I've decided" pipeline

I just realised that technically Darius saying ‘sweet mother of titan’ is talking about Eda.

Is that why I like him so much? If he is on the spectrum I'll be glad they didn't make it "obvious" like in other shows (I'm looking at you "I'm a genius in everything and sometimes I freak out so someone has to hold me to the ground" tropes). It'd just be nice to have something more accurate for once, is what I'm trying to say

I was born with autism, so I can relate to Hunter a lot. Unlike Hunter though, I had a different experience and upbringing with my family. I went to school, and excelled at most classes, especially history and acting classes, but like Hunter, I was into certain things, and that got me into a lot of trouble. I printed out articles about certain subjects that I had a passing fancy in, and my school computer privileges were taken a few times. I really got in trouble for using other student and teacher accounts to print articles on stuff, and I had a stern talk with the principal, a policeman, and a teacher. Even though what I have said here isn't even remotely relevant, it's just how I was in my life, so, I still relate to Hunter very much.

Couldn’t these scenes also just be a result of PTSD and social isolation from most of his upbringing spent in severe abuse & neglect??

it took me at least a couple times to realize the sarcasm. I honestly had to really focus on the mannerisms and tone because the first couple times I heard that part, I though he was being sincere...
