If that's what she said, she was right. The BBC can be a bit over-cautious about editorial balance. A good example is how, for a long time, it was official BBC policy to give equal time to some fruitcake climate change denier whenever they interviewed a highly qualified climatologist about the topic. I suspect that, in this case, someone decided that they didn't want to broadcast anything that dehumanised the Russian soldiers who murdered the woman's husband.

People as far away as the UK and the USA are offering accommodation and assistance of various kinds to fleeing, homeless families. But what the country needs most of all, and urgently, is more and better weapons with which to defend their people and drive out the invaders. Then they will need the world's help again, to rebuild. So much has been destroyed, but I believe these people have the will and the courage and imagination to make their country free and beautiful again. Let's have the courage to press our leaders to find a way to get the planes and tanks they need to them, before the Russians have a chance to regroup, find reinforcements, and renew their onslaught.

I feel ill. Im half Russian living in Sweden. Its hard to see this, and I almost feel a little ashamed to be part russian by seeing this. @Balraj Takhar Let those who want to fight do so, the only thing necessary for tyranny to prevail is for good men to do nothing. Also, history states that world War three will be much worse the longer we wait. Anyone who studies history should know this.

Putin and Russian soldiers must pay for the barbarity they have done in Ukraine. I stood against the Soviets in West Germany in the 1970s in the US Army and I know they are capable of this travesty. The UN and NATO must hold them accountable.

The US and NATO are the aggressors and also the reason why all this is happening. Ukraine was a perfectly happy place until the 2014 US coup. It was then that the US put the NAZIs into power in Kiev. It was then that the story of Ukraine dropping its neutral status and becoming a NATO member started.

I hope they're taking hair samples for DNA sequencing from unidentified corpses. if they could just file away hair samples with brief descriptions and the burial location, then at some point in the future they could have them analysed and make a database, and then close relatives of people presumed dead could have their DNA sequenced and get confirmation of the death and the grave site. it's not a priority now, but collecting samples and descriptions now would be reasonably quick and easy, and I'm sure the rest could be financed somehow later if they collected a good number of samples.
