I came on KZread to find out what I’ve just seen in my garden, and this is it! I’m in Yorkshire, and have a lot of red valerian which moths love, but never expected to see this beauty 🤗

Lovely to see, how that that beautiful butterfly enjoyed the flowers! 😍 I've seen the first ones last autumn in my garden and i was stunned how much they looked and acted like colibries.

LOL - It was filmed on the 29th August Tim. I forgot about it and discovered it today whilst sorting the desktop out on my PC. Mind you, we do have some flowers in the garden at the moment! :-)

@@RussellPlatten 🤣. I was looking out of my window at the snow and aghast that elsewhere in the UK had lovely summer flowers! I’ve seen the moths before in the UK just not regularly each year. Lovely things!

Saw one yesterday in my garden (Aberdeenshire) amazing it really does look like a tiny bird

This was the first time for us too. Yes, it was amazing. Fingers crossed for this year. Mrs P has planted the same flowers in the flower bed again. :-)
