The 2 others that really matter are "30 Days In the Hole" official audio, and "I Dont Need No Doctor" Live at the Fillmore. The 3 women were The Blackberries that did several tours with HP. They also sang on many other hit records by other artist.

Steve can't get any greater than "I Dont Need No Doctor"! Also "Hot N Nasty". Steve gave every performance his all!
Steve Marriott, I love his voice. First time I heard him was in Itchykoo Park with the Small Faces!
He sang at The Fillmore without a mic and the people in the back could still hear him. Steve Marriott was a powerhouse!
Steve Marriott the small man with the big voice ,everything this man did is GOLD ,the small faces (all or nothing ) :)

The British really delved into the blues.
Just, FYI, that guy at the end of the video is "whispering" Bob Harris, a radio DJ and music TV presenter. He is an absolute national treasure here in the UK and celebrated his 50th anniversary as a DJ only a couple of weeks ago.
The great British born singer Steve Marriott, isn't putting on some act to be "Funky." This is who he really is. So much soul in this man's heart, and in his voice. Like he says "My skin is white...but my soul is Black." I've liked Steve since he was with The Small Faces, and sang "Itchykoo Park in 1967. We miss you Steve. Now at peace with the Lord.
Their best song was I Don't Need No Doctor. I saw them open for Ten Years After, way back in my concert going days.

30 days in the hole was pretty good too.
The small faces were one of the most underrated bands of the 60s in fact of all time. Marriott had a voice few could rival also Kenney Jones the drummer was one of the best also. Tin soldier or red balloon but loads to choose from. As for humble pie with Peter Frampton no less thirty days in the hole I would recommend next.
So happy you did this one jay. Steve marriot is the cousin of my daughters godfather. He passed away in a fire in the 90's such a sad loss. What a voice check out his band small faces. Great reaction thanks again respect . 😊😊💖💕💖

Steve Marriott. Check out his other band, Small Faces. "Tin Soldier" is the song you check out!

The ladies singing in the Background, are known as "The Blackberries". They're great too. This was in England in the early 1970s.
Such an unusual strong voice. He was also an actor.Loved him in all his different bands.Taken too young.Best wishes from Scotland.
Steve Marriott was a shooting star. Great live back in the day.
This singer has rhythm in his singing, and the backing voices are good. The bearded guy, talking afterwards is Bob Harris, from the awesome old grey whistle test, from bbc tv. It was superb.
Steve Marriot played the Artful Dodger in Oliver
Steve Marriott, man! The most soulful singer from England. His best work was with Humble Pie and Small Faces. And let's also give it up for The Blackberries, too. They did backing vocals for a lot of great bands. Most notably they were the singers who backed Pink Floyd up on albums like Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.

This guy Steve Marriott has one of the greatest voices in music I think he was about 5ft 6lns but the power in his voice was like it was coming from someone 6ft 4ins. RIP Steve Marriott
I remember finding your channel during pandemic. You were very sincere.. I was so happy to see you fimd Steve Marriott and humble pie. One of a kind voice. Rest peacefully Mr. Marriott.
Steve Marriot was great to see live - fantastic singer and guitarist - that was the legendary presenter Bob Harris at the end who fronted a superb music show called 'The Old Grey Whistle Test.'
*Have You Ever Loved A Woman* Eric Clapton w/Johnnie Johnson 🎹 #bluesguitar #bluespiano Jayvee it would thrill your soul. (from the 24 Nights concert)
Steve Marriot in his small faces band when he was younger and their song "Itchycoo Park" is so good but he died tragically in a 🔥.

Thank you for the update. I was a kid when Itchykoo Park was released and it was always one of my favourites from the 60’s.
Steve Marriott was one of the greatest British blues, rock singers, the man had soul running through his veins. This is live on the Old Grey Whistle Test, a brilliant UK TV show from back in the day
It's my favorite voice of all time. The late great Steve Marriott!
Man this is one of my favorite songs. They are so on fire, and feeding off one a nother...love it! Those blackberries are incredible !
Never fails to get the best reactions.
One of the best bands ever...just sayin'. Steve's voice, though...and those sisters...? Really?
You my friend have just heard the one and only STEVE MARRIOTT!!! He was s full throated blues rock vocalist and band leader. One of the best ever. From Live "Rockin' The Fillmore" - I DON'T NEED NO DOCTOR!!
Love how Steve Mariott (lead singer) plays off of the "blackberries" (back-up singers). They at times appear to be flirting with each other, which is so cute!
This is one of my favorite songs. Regards from Munich Germany 🤚❤️
This was on The Old Grey Whistle Test show on the BBC. It's obvious that The Blackbirds had rehearsed with Steve Marriott and the band previously. They loved him and had a ball, and it shows in the video. They were tickled to death.
In addition to his incredible work with Humble Pie and the Small Faces (please do check out "Tin Solider" next), Steve Marriott was a big influence on Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, and Keith Richards wanted him to join the Rolling Stones in the mid-70s. (After you listen to the Small Faces, check out their subsequent incarnation, known as the Faces -- featuring Rod Stewart on vocals. Their cover of Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed" is, well, amazing.)

If you read the Book on Steve Marriott Keith wanted him to join but Mick went to one of their shows and after hearing him sing said no way. He knew he was a better vocalist than him and he thought if he joined the Stones Steve could replace him
Steve Marriott, born in 1947, was the most talented British singer/songwriter/guitarist probably ever! With his first band, The Small Faces, such powerhouse songs as their rendition of the Willie Dixon penned, Muddy Waters performed-"You Need Love," renamed "You Need Lovin," later transformed into the Led Zeppelin mega hit-"Whole Lotta Love," which they took FULL CREDIT for until Dixon's lawyer advised him to sue Zeppelin. At 21, Marriott wrote "Tin Soldier" and decided to not give it to their backup vocalist PP Arnold, since he wrote it for and about his wife. THAT song is just as absolutely incredible as this-"Black Coffee," by Steve's next band "Humble Pie." Along with "I Don't Need No Doctor," and "30 Days In The Hole," Marriott reached his peak as the most soulful, passionate, and powerful British singer /songwriter ever!
I listened to Humble Pie , back in the early 70’s, definitely turned the volume up! I don’t remember this song. Thanks for playing it. Don’t know how I missed it. My favorite was I Don’t Need No Doctor.
Fun Fact from the Video~~ The 'Blackberry' on the far right is Dallas's own beautiful late songbird Clydie King who in over 480 recordings was credited with 'Background Vocals'. So yeah, odds are pretty good that you've heard her somewhere before...
Humble Pie...the sound track of my youth!!! 30 Days in the Hole, I Don't Need No Doctor....too many others to name, but part of my soul ☕ Black Coffee...tastee tunes🎵 🤘🔥🎸💥 Steve's voice is one of a kind. Belonged to other well known groups. He's got "it"+we are blessed 🙏🏻 Check out Smokkn' album+Live at the Filmore. "Halleluia I Just Love Her So"--I got to see them in 1972. Sweat was FLYING off Steve as he belted out his soul. Legendary band ⭐
Itchykoo Park by The Small Faces is an early psychedelic classic that Steve sang. Wasn't Peter Frampton in Humble Pie? (Tina Turner wrote this song.)

Clem clempson replaced him but is also great
The backing singers were The Blackberries (Venetta Fields (former Ikette), Clydie King (Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Street), and Shirlie Matthews). Steve Marriott certainly had his Black P.P. Arnold an American singer who moved to England in the 60's and sang with him with The Small Faces. Her version of 'The First Cut Is The Deepest' is brilliant. She released a new album last year and it's really good. Great reaction man!

@@nikkiwallace5433 I don't know them by sight so I can't argue.
I saw these guys live in the early 1980’s at a club called Wolf and Rissmiller’s Country Club in Reseda CA. The lead singer was quite a character. Being British, he told a dirty limerick to the audience. This is word for word how it went, and it was his not mine. “There was a girl from Eaton, who discovered a wonderful feelin, she laid on her back, spread open her crack, and pissed all over the ceilin”. Besides his dirty limerick, it was a great show. This band is also who Peter Frampton played with before he went solo.
The best reaction ever Jay what a laugh your priceless when that guy started singing wow bring it on hahahahahaha
This was from the BBC tv show " The Old Grey Whistle Test" , the guy with the beard presenting the show is Bob Harris.
Steve Marriott had it all, a voice with more soul, grit and attitude than anyone out of the UK. He had so much swagger, so much energy, so much stage presence.
This is a first for me too and I love it! What a voice!
I loved your first reaction to his voice!!! A true legend. R.I.P Steve Marriott.
Jonny Lang- Darker Side, Lie to Me, Walking Away, Breaking Me.
The lead singer is Steve Marriott of the band Humble Pie, another rock star came from this band was Peter Frampton, he's the guitarist closest to the back up singers.
Your reaction to whenever Steve started to sing was priceless. Cool video.
That my friend, is the late great Steve Marriott. The look on your face when he started is priceless. The beautiful ladies accompanying him are The Blackberries
Steve Marriot used to be with the Small Faces. It'd be good to see you react to the Small Faces' "Itchycoo Park." Unfortunately, Steve Marriot died in an apartment fire believed to have been accidentally started by a cigarette.
79th and Sunset is my favorite Humble Pie song
The music of the 70's was AMAZING! Music is the closest thing to time travel
I have never heard this one before - and it is superb!! I really appreciate seeing it and your reaction to it. Thank you!

Damn ! This is my new theme song !! I'll wake up in the morning now singing BLACK COFFEE !! Folgers , the best part of waking up !
Steve Marriott still gives me chills everytime I hear that voice! I'm so glad my dad loved good music, thank you dad!
Wow never heard before but that was awesome loved his voice and the backing vocals of the women. That chorus is catchy too I’m gonna be singing black coffee in my head for awhile lol great reaction 👍
Steve Marriott one of the most underrated guitar players & front men ever.... he was really something special ( exhibit 1 right here 😎🎸 ) They ( Humble Pie ) did this song on a BBC show and the Ladies ( The Blackberries ) helped them with the backup vocals ! Great cover of a old classic ! ✌😎 Did you guys catch that " you see my skin is white... but my soul is black line " very true in this case,Steve was amazing ! Request:: Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa also did a cover of this song and a album by the same name that is completely loaded with awesome Blues & soul classic's you should definitely check it out Jay !
I loved this bluesy song.
Well, I love coffee. And tea. I love this song!!!!!
Unbelievable performance!
The Blackberries (the sisters there) were their own group - Humble Pie didn't just co-opt them. Instead they toured with Humble Pie and did some of their own sets.
Stevie Marriott. The best blue eyed soul singer ever. I saw Humble Pie a number of times in the early 70's. Black Coffee is an Ike and Tina song and found on Humble Pie's "Eat it" album. There is more like this on the album. Check out "Is it For Love"
I'd heard of the band Humble Pie but didn't know any songs. Certainly know Itchycoo Park by the Small Faces tho, absolutely love that song, play that if you can JayveeTV
I love your love for this band!
In 74 after Frampton had left I saw The Pie live in New Orleans in what was then the Municipal Auditorium. I believe it's gone now, but it was a large venue for those days. To say they were great would be an understatement. It was general admission and I was about 12-15 rows back. Unfortunately they were entirely too loud especially toward the end. I've never before or since heard a band that loud. They could have been the best group I've ever heard live, except for that one thing. Steve Marriot, R.I.P. He was an amazing and underrated talent.
New fan of Jayvee....he feels it. (in fact he just said 'I can feel it!') RIP Steve Marriot.
I watched this live when it was first broadcasted I was blown away 😁
Listen to anything from Humble Pie Live at the Fillmore. I think it was 1971. All. Steve Marriot. Of course Peter Frampton was still in the band at the time so just incredible.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard this one before. What a beaut! 👍👍💖☮️
The one and only Steve Marriott. What an absolutely legendary rock singer. Incredible soul. He could do it all. You want blues?...... Check out Humble Pie's "Rollin' Stone". I had heard that Robert Plant used to watch him around the time Zeppelin was formed and a lot of the blues songs Zeppelin did were inspired by how Marriott sung them.
He has the greatest rock voice. Steve Marriot.
The Blackberries, give it up to them also, 3 very talented ladies. Vanetta Fields from the Mirettes, Billie Barnum from the Apollas and Clydie King
One of my favorite reactions of yours! ☕️
The Old Gray Whistle Test. You will find all the live music you could ever want. That guy is Keith Harris
30 Days in the Hole by Humble Pie,great stuff. one of the best vocalists in British rock history, and a Londoner, one of our own,Stevie Marriott.
Gotta listen to the Small Faces,Steve Marriott had such a strong soulful for a small guy hence the name of his first band,Tin Soldier,Lazy Sunday and Itchycoo park are a must listen.

Check out 'Natural Born Bugie' a big first hit in Britain, a marvellous rhythmic series of Rock/Blues cliches, and Marriott's soaring voice comes in halfway.
HP is from my real informative (musically) days. Late 60s-mid 70s. They were never as appreciated as they deserved. Great choice on this tune J. Nice!!!

I can't believe so few people have liked or viewed this. WTF is going on in this world that would stop you watching this? Nothing. Nothing at all. Am amazed so few. Put it out again! Stevie Marriott is a legend in the UK for that wonderful blue eyed soul voice of his with the work he and the other guys did with The Small Faces, 60s mod group from London. Tin Soldier is one of the standout tracks, with another great USA singer called P.P.Arnold , who used to one of the Ikettes behind Tina Turner. Totally agree. Each member of Small Faces was greatly talented and as a group, they were perfect. Although I love all of Steve's music, His voice in Small Faces made me melt - LOL- sound like a teeny bopper, not a 64 yr old! As much as I love Humble Pie and The Faces, I don't think either surpasses the "mother" group that spawned them. I wish Steve had stuck with them a little longer, they had the potential to be truly great. RIP Steve, Ronnie & Mac.
That's Steve Marriott, one of my all-time favorite singers 😁
New one for me! Awesome!!!
