The 2 others that really matter are "30 Days In the Hole" official audio, and "I Dont Need No Doctor" Live at the Fillmore. The 3 women were The Blackberries that did several tours with HP. They also sang on many other hit records by other artist.

The great British born singer Steve Marriott, isn't putting on some act to be "Funky." This is who he really is. So much soul in this man's heart, and in his voice. Like he says "My skin is white...but my soul is Black." I've liked Steve since he was with The Small Faces, and sang "Itchykoo Park in 1967. We miss you Steve. Now at peace with the Lord.

The small faces were one of the most underrated bands of the 60s in fact of all time. Marriott had a voice few could rival also Kenney Jones the drummer was one of the best also. Tin soldier or red balloon but loads to choose from. As for humble pie with Peter Frampton no less thirty days in the hole I would recommend next.

In addition to his incredible work with Humble Pie and the Small Faces (please do check out "Tin Solider" next), Steve Marriott was a big influence on Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, and Keith Richards wanted him to join the Rolling Stones in the mid-70s. (After you listen to the Small Faces, check out their subsequent incarnation, known as the Faces -- featuring Rod Stewart on vocals. Their cover of Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed" is, well, amazing.)

Steve Marriott, born in 1947, was the most talented British singer/songwriter/guitarist probably ever! With his first band, The Small Faces, such powerhouse songs as their rendition of the Willie Dixon penned, Muddy Waters performed-"You Need Love," renamed "You Need Lovin," later transformed into the Led Zeppelin mega hit-"Whole Lotta Love," which they took FULL CREDIT for until Dixon's lawyer advised him to sue Zeppelin. At 21, Marriott wrote "Tin Soldier" and decided to not give it to their backup vocalist PP Arnold, since he wrote it for and about his wife. THAT song is just as absolutely incredible as this-"Black Coffee," by Steve's next band "Humble Pie." Along with "I Don't Need No Doctor," and "30 Days In The Hole," Marriott reached his peak as the most soulful, passionate, and powerful British singer /songwriter ever!

I saw these guys live in the early 1980’s at a club called Wolf and Rissmiller’s Country Club in Reseda CA. The lead singer was quite a character. Being British, he told a dirty limerick to the audience. This is word for word how it went, and it was his not mine. “There was a girl from Eaton, who discovered a wonderful feelin, she laid on her back, spread open her crack, and pissed all over the ceilin”. Besides his dirty limerick, it was a great show. This band is also who Peter Frampton played with before he went solo.

In 74 after Frampton had left I saw The Pie live in New Orleans in what was then the Municipal Auditorium. I believe it's gone now, but it was a large venue for those days. To say they were great would be an understatement. It was general admission and I was about 12-15 rows back. Unfortunately they were entirely too loud especially toward the end. I've never before or since heard a band that loud. They could have been the best group I've ever heard live, except for that one thing. Steve Marriot, R.I.P. He was an amazing and underrated talent.

Check out 'Natural Born Bugie' a big first hit in Britain, a marvellous rhythmic series of Rock/Blues cliches, and Marriott's soaring voice comes in halfway.

HP is from my real informative (musically) days. Late 60s-mid 70s. They were never as appreciated as they deserved. Great choice on this tune J. Nice!!!

I can't believe so few people have liked or viewed this. WTF is going on in this world that would stop you watching this? Nothing. Nothing at all. Am amazed so few. Put it out again! Some must have missed it. Can I get an AMEN here?? Darnit. This is so great as well. Some people just have no taste for such classy music as this is. Earthlings, are you listening? Don't make me come down there.

The singer is our greatest ever - Steve Marriott. Check out the Small Faces, his first band. One of our best bands, highly influential

Stevie Marriott is a legend in the UK for that wonderful blue eyed soul voice of his with the work he and the other guys did with The Small Faces, 60s mod group from London. Tin Soldier is one of the standout tracks, with another great USA singer called P.P.Arnold , who used to one of the Ikettes behind Tina Turner. Also check out Afterglow of your love, The autumn stone and I cant make it without you, all by the Small Faces. Best Brit Mod band of them all

Totally agree. Each member of Small Faces was greatly talented and as a group, they were perfect. Although I love all of Steve's music, His voice in Small Faces made me melt - LOL- sound like a teeny bopper, not a 64 yr old! As much as I love Humble Pie and The Faces, I don't think either surpasses the "mother" group that spawned them. I wish Steve had stuck with them a little longer, they had the potential to be truly great. RIP Steve, Ronnie & Mac.

Oh Jayvee, you've got to Humble Pie! The lead singer Steve Marriott - what a voice. I recommend Tin Soldier that he did with The Small Faces! It's a beautiful song! Also try All or Nothing. Poor Steve died in a fire.
