Which is also why he's so powerful because his life span has been drastically extended past a normal human. I know Tien beat him back in DB but I'd say that currently Master Roshi has surpassed him. Not sure about anyone else but I believe he's currently the strongest human presently. And yes, I know Uub is also human but I'm just referring to Master Roshi being strong because he's earned that power on his own. Uub is powerful because he's the reincarnation of Kid Buu and has inherited some of that power. Also, this is before Uub has even met Goku so he hasn't been properly trained yet.

Krillin, Yamcha, Tien & even chiaotzu have earned more than Roshi, the most advanced training Roshi ever did was Korin tower he also sucked at it since Kid Goku, Tien etc all finished Korin Tower faster than Roshi did.

No, in the manga, jiren is said to have been using the same fighting strength as he was using when fighting Goku SSJ Blue. This was because Jiren couldn't risk it to hold back after he found out Roshi is Goku's master. Plus, Roshi only lost because his durability feat is not much compared to Goku and all. Otherwise he did pretty well

And Krillin really is stronger than Tien, Toriyama said it himself in an interview from before the DBS anime had even begun airing. Toriyama directly stated "Krillin is the strongest earthling".

Jiren could have easily killed Master Roshi. But due to there being a rule that there was no killing allowed in the Tournament of Power, Jiren had to lower his power level to be in the range of Master Roshi's to not accidentally kill him. So no, Master Roshi doesn't even come close to the power of a god. That isn't to say he isn't skilled though. The fact he managed to dodge Jiren's attacks is impressive on it's own.

Tien, Yamcha & Krillin beat Korin tower also in a couple days, Roshi even retired fighting Tien knowing he would never catch up. My head canon is: Saiyans arent really emotional but have strength/power Emotions most of the time make u stronger. Humans are very emotional, but lack strength/power. We really missed out on some cool plot threads with the anime adaption. That Roshi v Jiren would have been amazing. If anything have Vegeta see that and then be like "I won't be overtaken by an old man", and then he gets by Jiren's defence like how he did in the show.

Which is also why he's so powerful because his life span has been drastically extended past a normal human. I know Tien beat him back in DB but I'd say that currently Master Roshi has surpassed him. Not sure about anyone else but I believe he's currently the strongest human presently. And yes, I know Uub is also human but I'm just referring to Master Roshi being strong because he's earned that power on his own. Uub is powerful because he's the reincarnation of Kid Buu and has inherited some of that power. Also, this is before Uub has even met Goku so he hasn't been properly trained yet.

It’s still a stupid asspull & a Toriyama handjob given to a character that training has been out dated since the Demon King Piccolo saga & he even retired knowing he has no place in future fights. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien & even chiaotzu have earned more than Roshi, the most advanced training Roshi ever did was Korin tower he also sucked at it since Kid Goku, Tien etc all finished Korin Tower faster than Roshi did.

No, in the manga, jiren is said to have been using the same fighting strength as he was using when fighting Goku SSJ Blue. This was because Jiren couldn't risk it to hold back after he found out Roshi is Goku's master. Plus, Roshi only lost because his durability feat is not much compared to Goku and all. Otherwise he did pretty well

Nothing of the sort is ever stated, Jiren is evidently holding back against Roshi for the entire time, and the moment he starts putting in a single ounce of effort, he literally one shots Roshi with a single chop to the neck. @@shadowgl9 Roshi and Krillin in the ToP weren't the problem, I enjoyed Roshi in the anime, but krillin was meh in the anime and bad in the manga. And Krillin really is stronger than Tien, Toriyama said it himself in an interview from before the DBS anime had even begun airing. Toriyama directly stated "Krillin is the strongest earthling".

Explain
Jiren could have easily killed Master Roshi. But due to there being a rule that there was no killing allowed in the Tournament of Power, Jiren had to lower his power level to be in the range of Master Roshi's to not accidentally kill him. So no, Master Roshi doesn't even come close to the power of a god. That isn't to say he isn't skilled though. The fact he managed to dodge Jiren's attacks is impressive on it's own.

There was such rule in the tournament the prevented killing others, so Jiren had to lower his power when fighting Roshi,m so he didn’t actually kill him, but ignoring the power level he used, the fact that Roshi dodged the punches is amazing considering they were from Jiren.

Tien, Yamcha & Krillin beat Korin tower also in a couple days, Roshi even retired fighting Tien knowing he would never catch up. I think that has to do with the fact that goku and vegeta had evolved vastly prior to the birth of their children. That's why Gohan didn't outright become a saiyan but was really strong but goten was.

My head canon is: Saiyans arent really emotional but have strength/power Emotions most of the time make u stronger. Humans are very emotional, but lack strength/power. Take Gohan for example, when he gets emotional his power increases bc he has the strength and the emotional potential to get stronger.
Through training and meditation, humans can become so much stronger. They're just not willing to throw away their social obligations, like the saiyans. Imagine if Tien and Krillin spent as much time training as the saiyans.

I genuinely think there’s going to be an earthling villain that’s above or close to the gods in power
I had hope that Yamcha would turn out to have awakened god ki because he survived the attack from Champa and Beerus. Let it turn out that humans because they don't transform to gain power have a surprising knack for obtaining it and all it takes is enough exposure to it. I knew it wasn't going to happen but I'm glad he at least got a moment in the Moro arc.
Yamcha slapped Beerus at the back and made him flinch while SSJ 3 can't make Beerus move.
Master roshi is crazy strong compared to any other human.
It's still good to know and to remember: Roshi is immortal meaning he won't die of old age cause as they said in the older DB volumes so ofc there over 200 years of experience

Considering how varied the techniques humans used, and how they're among the few species we see use ki attacks that aren't just beams or blasts, I would think a dedicated human could probably grasp God Ki, if not "easily" than readily.
I think thats kind of fitting Uub represents great potential in the next generation of fighters and master roshi represents literal centuries of experience

Tien deserves to be the most powerful. All dude does is train harder and harder. He trains on the level goku does, (given that “level” means frequently and as hard as he can. Obviously he isn’t able to do what goku does during his training)

Exactly, plus give Goku & Vegeta the edge of power, because the Saiyan Gene get enhance power boost of ever battle & everytime their recovery from heavy injuries the powers increased very high. It is kinda a cheat code. But I guess aliens always have a better Adventist than normal mortal being's.

Imagine a whole ark dedicated to the advancement of the humans in DB, where each person is on a quest for a unique power up. Bring other universes into the mix, maybe artifacts that introduce power multipliers . Definitely a good path to include all the fighters aside from the saiyans

We really missed out on some cool plot threads with the anime adaption. That Roshi v Jiren would have been amazing. If anything have Vegeta see that and then be like "I won't be overtaken by an old man", and then he gets by Jiren's defence like how he did in the show.
Master Roshi going back to train and gaining more power just so he can fight to save the universe is some of the most metal shit ever.

If you guys remember gokus training in the younger days in db when roshi was teaching them he kinda indirectly teached them the basics of ultra instinct but it wasnt a thing back then but you could say roshi has been training in the art of fighting without thinking since the beginning
