    Something similar to Avatar plot happened on my Stellaris playthrogh: -there is a planet which are rich with minerals, but there's a sizable primitives there -infiltrate it by disguising one of my agent to look like the primitives, hopefully trying to undermine it -turns out my agent fell in love with one of the primitives and asked me to leave the planet alone -so instead of agreeing, I simply satbomb the whole planet before orbital dropping ravenous killbots to clean up the planet's population (including the agent) Buddy, the universe is vast and full of dangers, love can't save humanity's downfall, and if that surplus +3 minerals allows me to get past the deficit to build enough ship to destroy the contingency, then I'll fucking do it

    And it's really a shame that in order to make aliens win, Cameron seriously nerfed humans technologies, intelligence and tactics. Helicopters are attacking only on close range with unguided rockets, like it's early Vietnam war, not far future. Same with other technics: no NVG, no thermal vision, no autotargeting turrets operated by AI... And no weapons like gas, cassette bombs and, damn it, NAPALM! And, of course, no armor against damn bows! Seriously, armored glass was on WW2 planes, where is it in on 23th century?! Humans in all their power would make an absolute domination on Pandora, and for me it would be pleasure to see!

  • @lonewolf0712

    @lonewolf0712

    @@cyxapb239 yeah, any movie were aliens win is usually due to nerfing humans. Kinda like the whole forcefield stuff, a nuke can act as an EMP, so technically detonating a nuke above a forcefield would EMP the entire ship. But they never try that in any movies :/

  • @mill2712

    @mill2712

    10 ай бұрын

    @@cyxapb239 I think the only reason the humans don't have said weapons is because that's not the military proper being sent to Pandora, but simply a well armed PMC/security company. Think of like the security guards inside armored bank cars or Academy (Formally Blackwater) at best. They're job is simply to help secure resources gathered from the planet and protect scientists and their mining operations. Not to fight wars or exterminate natives. So they aren't given proper military equipment since it would probably be expensive, hard to maintain, or flat out banned for them to have.

The distance of the closest stars is light years apart that contacting nearby civilizations won't be possible without the advancement of technology in superluminal faster-than-light communication and travel. In 40k, humanity have no relative contact of any other spacefaring civilizations for the first thousands of years to the likes of Eldars and Orks. As outer space is so vast, the onset of dialogue of other races were not so simple. The Eldars won't likely be cautious or serious about humanity as they are nothing seen as primitive before mankind reach the point of technological peak in the Dark Age of Technology. Humanity continue to persist even with the dangers of the Warp and other monstrosities due of early stride and the current blind extreme devotion being held by the corpse God Emperor.

Just look at anything political and half the time people arguing on both sides have zero fucken clue what they are talking about and other 50% are too braindead to understand we all want the exact same thing and just having slightly different way of doing it isn’t gonna be the end of the world

    The rest of the movie might not have been the equal spectacle to its predecessor that people dreamed of, but the one scene of the RDA fleet decelerating and making freaking LANDFALL with Manifest Destiny-class cruisers had me rooting for the humans through the entire thing. If we can send a fleet of 30+ cruisers with thousands of soldiers and enough equipment to initiate the colonization of an entire planet-sized moon across many light-years, I will always root for that version of us, because that means we've done SOMETHING right and there's still hope.
