I remember my father getting me the 3 disc collection of Hogans essential matches back in 2007. Even when I went through that phase of hating him, I could never deny the fact that he is for all time as a wrestler. I will always be grateful to my father, and for Hogan getting me into wrestling.

He also became the biggest heel in history, and had the biggest face turn when he completely took the crowd from Rock at Wrestlemania 18. Then he gets the longest standing ovation ever on Raw the next day, only to be rivaled by his later title win over HHH. Even competing against the Attitude Era big shots, Hogan still got over on them. Hate the man in his personal life all we want, NO ONE could get a crowd absolutely buzzing without even performing a single move like Hogan.

@@MichaelEarl No I believe it was probably true. Vince was going to phase hogan out because he wanted the warrior to be the next big thing. Hogan probably saw that turning heel would be a good way to reinvent himself and stay relevant. Warrior didn't work out so hogan became the top guy again eventually. So hogan probably wanted to but Vince didn't want to because he was waiting to see if warrior worked out. Personally I'd have loved to see hogan run as a heel for a period in the wwf.

I think Hulk Hogan should have been called out for his many lies that plenty of KZreadrs have covered. Not to say HH isn’t great, but there’s a LOT of inconsistencies where he’s lying like where he almost ended Mark’s career back in the day by pretending he got a botched tombstone.

You mean the same Taker who 100% botched a Tombstone against Koko. B. Ware at the same time and claimed he didn't?

Most if not all these wrestlers lie and exaggerate stuff, it's basically apart of the job....its ironic how some give hulk a hard time yet give others a pass.

No offense to Mr. Austin (and I say Mr because he could still open up a can of whoop ass) but I was born in 82 and Hulk Hogan to wrestling is what Michael Jordan is to the NBA or Tom Brady to the NFL. THE GOAT

Hogan was a great performer in the ring... he was one of the all time best, no denying that fact... The only problem is I can't like the man as a person, he just lies way too much.
