Jim Cornette is on record saying Mick Foley deserved this talk show spot because he jumped into nail tacks the night before in Biloixi Mississippi. Also he believed Bret Hart should have had this mainstream talk show spot because the whole world loved how Bret would sell for his opponents. All this is confirmed by Dave Meltzer, who believed Bob Backlund would have been the better guest in '86, because the casual fan believed he had a more realistic workrate.
