Hulk Hogan was part of the cultural zeitgeist of 80s America. He's up there with 80s icons like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, etc. Growing up in the Middle East during the 80s (Saudi Arabia), the first Americans I have heard of were Michael Jackson, Hulk Hogan, and Ronald Reagan.

Interesting how Randy either knew the business or was smart enough to realize if I do the job and put Hogan over then he leaves for awhile he gets the belt the big bucks with it and then drops it back to Hogan once he comes back. I also find listening to older wrestlers talk about the business and how things are done very interesting. The outcomes are predetermined but the performance is real.
