Live Concert, at The Berwald Hall (Berwaldhallen), Stockholm, Sweden - Events Concert (Evenemangskonsert) - 15/4, 1983:
Alfvéns´ Symphony No. 4 "From the Outermost Skerries of the Archipelago") in C minor is mature programme music (extra narrative - musically , in contrast to Absolute music). The wordless voices (on A), by Alfvén as; soprano acuto and tenore assoluto.
The TV-viewer had more to watch than the audience in the Concert Hall: Films from the Archipelago.
MariAnne Häggander, soprano, Erland Hagegård, tenor and The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, First Cocertmaster Bernt Lysell, conducter, Stig Westerberg.
We are terribly sorry that there is a technical cut in the clip, after about 15 minutes. Maybe it can be fixed some time so we can publish it again ...

Fantastic performance of that masterwork. Very fine singers and what a joy to see Westerberg conducting. Thanks a lot!

And thanks a lot to you, Siegfried. Your beautiful comment brought tears to the corner of my eyes. Agree about "masterwork" ... I loved singing with Stig Westerberg (here the tenor part). The first time was in 1968 (the baritone part); "Förklädd gud"/Disguised god". Have you heard that one? Greetings //Erland

It felt a little bit funny to wear evening dress, then stand behind the stage (not visible for the audience), singing the solo-/duet parts - and finally at the end stepping forward, bowing and getting some flowers :-)

Understand, but I feel it was the right thing, to keep focus on the music and the scenario: "From the Outskirts of the Archipelago", and you in the final, in evening dress, to show to the composer and the conductor, your humility and appreciation. Perfect!
