@@Cren6 i don’t think I have ever cried that much in a love scene. All the innocence and pureness of love I was never allowed to experience as a teenager in the 00s in 2 minutes! It hit me so hard

Teaching it to my (french) choir, not very easy for them and for me during Covid-19 lockdown, but so beautiful song.

It is super beatiful

This is a folksong from Gotland with beautiful music setting by Hugo Alfven.Very nice, sehr schön.

As a born and bred Swede I still think this is very well done! Lovely and very much feeling in this.

This is the best performance I found on KZread without extensive searching. I feel that it should be faster, though, and found that playing the video at 1.25 actually worked for me (even though that is not something one will usually do with musical performances). I feel that it gives a better mood (perhaps important, since the text is less sad than the melody). A matter of personal preference too, for sure. :-)

Thank you vocabene, from Sweden Malmoe. This song is a gem among several swedish summer songs which I use for inducing lighter feeilings into my heart. I will save your version as best suited for the purpose.

I guess they sang the Version from "4 Voices" a songbook popular for many choirs from Lorenz Maierhof. Our choir will perform this song as well, but i did not trust whats written there so i heard some original sewedisch choirs on youtube. and i was right. I am not sure if it is written in swedisch, or if it should be phonetics or a mixture out of both, but some words text and sounding on youtube is differen. For examplen in 4 voices it says: "rosor och" in YT i heard it more like " rursur ock", or in the book it says "mig" and "dig" instead of "mej" or "dej" (i am germ so maybe a englay man would write "day" and "may" instaed of "ey") ... Maybe something /fəˈnɛtɪks/ its hard to read but maybe it is better ðɪs way with the IPA (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Phonetic_Alphabet) instead of mixtures :P

"Rosor" is a Swedish word. "Rursur" sounds like something from Iceland, maybe. "Mej" and "dej" are informal spellings of the Swedish words "Mig" and "Dig". The pronunciation is a lot like "May" and "Day" in English, though.

sorry i ment "rusur" (in english maybe "roosoor"?) weill on mostly any recording it sounds like this. and as i said with the mig ^^ the "mej" should be german pronouncation, you woul pronounce the german written "mej" like the english "may" in the book its written as" mig" but what i wanted to say is, that it sounds not like its written, if you pronounce it the german way .... well ... doesnt matter...
