Denny’s in the 90’s was hella discriminative against black folk. I even had a bad experience as late as 2012. Sat at a table for over an hour and wasn’t served at all. Waiters just kept walking by like I wasn’t even there. People who cane in after me were greeted and served. Horrible experience didnt make a fuss and didn’t come back. Sad

Honestly brad's wife sucked at her job. People have worked in hospitality for decades with zero complaints. I have my whole life and know that you only succeed if you work hard and do the job you're supposed to do. This era of entitlement will be the death of everything. MARK... MY... WORDS!!! IF you like the food; plain and simple: dont eat there... that just makes the waiting line shorter...

Was told as a teen to never ever ever eat here (I’m black). Glad I listened. Their name is absolutely fitting to their style, preference and “alleged” accusations. At least they that going for them. What a shit place.

Why was Brad's wife fired? We're still waiting for answers.

I’m black and I worked here. I would always get asked to do all the work outside in the sun, they would literally leave it until I got there. Also asked me to put out the cotton stems in some of their displays. Caught a couple of “guests” snickering and whispering jokes about that a couple times.

i’ve had the worst experience. i’ve been there for 8 months now and regret ever getting the job. little hours but i did do great with tips averaging about 10 per table every night. this is not typical considering the reputation of our store. there has been blackmail and drug deals among our management and the district refuses to do anything about it. you work holidays on regular time (not double or time and a half) and two tables. plus they are REQUIRED. management is extremely rude. on my first day one of the managers spilled something on me them persisted to yell at me that i need to watch where the F i’m going. when i first started i was also persistently told by coworkers that i was not needed there and i should quit now. i should have done it then and there. no breaks on doubles and co workers get special treatment if they’re a “favorite” among management. hosts double seat you even when others have no tables and as a closer you MUST clean up messes that your shift didn’t even make. i would also like to add that you’re getting paid 2.13 per hour even while you roll your silver and do your side work after you’ve been cut from the floor. i have constantly went home crying due to the disgusting treatment of employees. i’m glad that i’ve finally made the decision to quit cracker barrel and i highly recommend anyone in my store to do it too. edit: i’ve attempted quitting or transferring before in which case i was told that i did not want to leave and i wanted to stay. SO i was being told how i felt about my job. i’m friends with many of my coworkers who have quit as well and they have all said that he has SCREAMED at them. and i’ve even seen it myself. it’s sickening!!!! so i’m terrified. i even debated calling the DM so i would not have to speak with the GM. last night i attempted to tell him how i felt in which case he rolled his eyes and i began to cry as i told him have a good night. but i’m gonna quit before the end of this month. ❤️ NO MORE TOXICITY

I and my family don't eat out because I don't trust folks cooking my food. We both are excellent cooks, I cook for her and she cooks for me and that's good enough. Black folks need to take their dollars and use it on something that is good for them and only invest in the place of business that supports us because you know Cracker Barrel is not the only business that is committing these evil acts on us.

I've eaten there three times in my life and I've hated all their food so I don't give a shit either way, I won't be going back there anyway!!

Only been there once. It was my boyfriend and I, and the server was a lovely Black woman. The only problem was I was afraid my boyfriend would fall in love with her... because I had already fell for her. She served us really well, and the food was pretty good as well.

Damn I always liked thier catfish , shrimp and pecan cobbler. Although their grits suck. I only eaten there a few times. I can't believe it's a scandal ridden chain.

In one video learned this place I went to ages ago as a kid had become a big chain, was no longer a small so-so resturant and actually became interested in trying it again to then realizing they are biggots and not liking them. Thx Mashed. :/

Many .. many.. many.. years ago I worked in the store and was fired for no reason!! everyone I worked with was even sad for me and thought it was unfair how I was fired! I also got food poisoning from eating there! I think it was the catfish! It was so long ago but I never did eat it again!! I still go there to eat and shop! I love going there with my family when they take me! Love shopping there! I just went about a week ago after church and did a small haul on my channel.

You shared several several examples of scandal, but your narration is so fast that it all runs together. It isn’t clear when you’re moving on to the next example unless you’re paying attention to the header. It would be nice if you took a break between stories. A full one-second pause would make a big difference, only adding about :08 to the overall time.

I didn't even mention how servers would make deals for tables by trading in pain pills!!!

I’m white but have gotten pretty bad service on occasion. One time I was seated and actually used my phone to see if I was going to be waited on. They couldn’t believe I called from inside the store. I ended up going to Denny’s. Where my friend and I made jokes with the waitress about you’re going to write down stuff then bring it to me? We had a good time there after that.

They do not offer a small discount to Veterans- even ARBYS gives a 15% discount to Veterans and Police - and they do NOT have to be on active duty and in full dress uniform- having said that, there food is good - but they need to STOP sweeping around customers who are eating! That’s terrible-

My best friend ate there once, said the food was bland and gross. Never been interested in going since then, and that had to have been at least 10 years ago.
