I'm hyped. The fast partner switch is definitely a dream come true on top of some of beautiful lightning choices to make the areas feel more in ruin or damp/dark.

I just played the OG, there is a shortcut but it still takes you to the menu, this is much faster

I think that Gamecube Badge might also double as a way to listen to the original OST in-game.

That new toad NPC at 7:44 is the same new toad that was seen in Glitzville in the first trailer. I'm guessing talking to him there is a way to access this mode.

I'm so excited for this game, and I'm so happy that they aren't just doing a 1-1 remake, they are adding little things like Doopliss rocking in his chair, back sprites, "shocked" poses, etc, and giving this game the whole treatment that a new game would get. This game is literally my favorite piece of media -books, games, movies, art, etc, full stop. And now I can add that bub-ulb partner to my list of hopes for a new Paper Mario rpg, along with the chain-chomp from sticker star's beta

The story is the best thing about the game. But the gameplay is certainly not. It's not awful. But man, does it need many improvements. If they do remake it, than I would hope they'll fixed the gameplay, while keeping the story exactly the same as it was.

I’ve never played it and I want a remake.

The thing that I thought was the coolest was how they layered models. Like they’re difference sheets of paper, it just looked really crisp and clear. Anyways, super stocked for this to come out. Edit: 4:44 that’s definitely origami king.

SO excited to play this! Let's hope that this is the start of the Paper Mario series going back to its roots!

I really hope the battle theme changed based on the region you’re in! That was the best part of Origami King.

Man it's already perfect, remakes rarely are very similar to the originals after all, ocarina of time does it though. I love how the stats are displayed on the tattle like this.

Something minor I noticed! In the badge shop you can see the coin counter at the top right and it seems to have space for a 4th number, contrary to the original game's max of 999.

The one thing Sticker Star has going for it is the soundtrack, you can't do it like that :(

Something that I hope they do is that they will have a badge where you can have it play the og music as well just for the option to do it

The shot machine change is likely to comply with new rating system rules on 'casino imagery' in games.

So far, this looks amazing. The quick swap feature is an big improvement, the game looks beautiful and having an choices of playing the GameCube SFX is an cherry on top. I'm a sucker for these kinds of things. I loved playing the original tracks on an remake. It's also one of the best things about Pokemon Heartgold & Soulsilver that I loved. My only hope is that if they'll add some sort of warp points that you can warp through any areas in an Chapters or Roguepart so it can make the backtracking less aggravating. Even without that, it won't bother me anyway considering how good the writings is and gameplay gets better at later on. Regardless, I'm still looking forward to this game.

I saw that it has a playlist now. I'm really excited. I wish it would have a Paper Luigi side mode too.

English version is finally out. It looks and sounds fantastic

given the technological advancements of today alongside how Prince Mush was teased to return to the Glitz Pit in TTYD Gamecube via Joylene's letter, but never happened because of most likely, technological limitations at the time. yet the data for a fightable Prince Mush was there on Gamecube. I'm actually curious if they'll include the Prince Mush fight this time, as he's essentially "PM64's The Master" of TTYD. I'm assuming its highly very likely we'll finally be able to fight Prince Mush this time around, primarily due to the better technology of today. but we don't know for sure til da game releases. I'm also curious about the scrapped ch. 6 Beldam+Marilyn+Doopliss fight since that's also a possibility to show up too.

This is the one paper mario game I never played. I played super on the wii, sticker star, color splash and original on wii u, and origami on switch. I always wanted to play this one seeing how good it is, but even when I still had the wii the only people selling it wanted too much money for it.

The tattle log is stylized after Japanese notebooks, not a calendar like nin10do thought. Most likely, in localization the tattle log will be stylized more like our notebooks

So because of the added changes and new badges, new assets and such, would this mean it's a remake or is it still a true remaster?

I've been seeing the info from ToonTris and Andre Segers of GameXplain 'I hope Andre does a full game streamed playthrough playlist asap like Derrick Bitnerd did for the Gamecube version when he was at GameXplain and put his playlist on his YT channel Bitnerd Games'. I'm glad Paper Mario 64 is on NSO and TTYD remake will be on Nintendo Switch I still watch Derricks 64, TTYD 'till remake is streamed', Color Splash streamed playthrough playlists a lot ad Andre streamed Sticker Star on GameXplain for charity so hope Color Splash comes to Nintendo Switch too

When the reveal for this dropped, I showed it to my wife and then showed her the original gamecube copy I own and she didn’t say nothing but her face went “Oh no” and I told her “Yup! I’m buying it! I’m just letting you know right now.” (She hates it when I spend my money on video games) and then I told her “Its going for $60 but I’m telling you, Idc if it goes for $500, I’m buying it.”

I’m just baffled nobody’s made a rom hack for Luigi in the Waffle Kingdom.

The Japanese name is Paper Mario RPG, as if in Japan, it’s the 1st game. Did they not get the actual 1st one on the N64? Also, I’ll be in Utah when this game comes out, so I might buy it in a store there. I’m liking the 1st game on N64 NSO(apart from when an enemy deals the 1st damage, or I try but fail to avoid them! 😠), and I’m close to done with it, so maybe I’ll like this remake.

The first game was called Mario story in Japanese I believe. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. The mario and luigi games were also called Mario and luigi rpg 2, 3 etc.
