I’ve found that I get the best consistency by shaking it without the grate. Then after shaking, I add ice and the grate which stops the ice from going through the spout. Something about cooling it down improves the overall experience. Great video!

What do you think about the Maltodextrin that is in most of the Huel? They don’t talk about that in the sweetener list for some reason..They only mention Strvia and Coconut Sugar as sweeteners, but Maltodextrin is in all the flavored kinds.

Without denial this is an ultra processed food. So with that in mind there are several aspects that I don’t love. We use it as a tool but are under no delusions that it is perfect.

@@nathanandtiffany I do not mind that it is ultra processed..I am saying that Huel needs to also say that the Maltodextrin is a sweetener also not just a “vitamin delivery” as they have it on the website..They only list the sweeteners Stevia and Coconut Sugar.

I don’t know what to do about the high sugar in all the flavored Huels..If you drank five (5) Huels to get to 2,000 calories, with flavored Huel you would get around or over 200% RDA sugar. Each serving of any flavored Huel (even Vanilla flavor) has over 40% RDA of Sugar. The way I see it, the only way to fix this is to get Unflavored and Unsweetened Huel (as it does not even have the Maltodextrin) and then add back in the sugars to 1/2 levels of Huel lists in the Nutritional Content..

I clicked on the video because I wanted a medical doctor's opinion on the product. It is a little misleading to introduce yourself that way without disclosing your actual credentials.

Well, considering that my credentials are clearly stated in the about portion of my channel, that that most medical doctors don’t get any nutritional education whatsoever during med school, as one of my 5 degrees is actually in nutrition. I’m a pretty good resource. Thanks for watching.
