Good to see locos like this preserved and in operation - even on the shortest of stretches of track. I’d like to know what the plaque on the side said! Thanks for posting👍🏻

Pretty sure the plaque says "This Locomotive worked in Northern Queensland hauling sugar cane to the CSR Macknade Mill. Donated by CSR to Timbertown Wauchope For Preservation. 1977."

The Locomotive Wauchope, it has a Cousin, Another Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 Narrow Gauge Tender locomotive. This locomotive’s name is Fiji, and it’s currently at the Statfold Barn Railway. Like, in all Seriousness, Wauchope looks almost exactly what My Thomas & Friends OC Blake would look like.

Yes, Wauchope is very similar to Fiji but a little bigger. There were three sizes, I believe.

Not that far from Mandalong Valley, there was another private railway "Smokey Mountain" at Warnervale. Went there in the 70's, and as the name suggests, they were American in style. The track was 1' or 30 cm's
