Is there similarity to hubud like sticky hands in wing chun? T.Y.😅😮❤😂

Could be😂😅: Hubud emphasizes maintaining continuous motion and flow of techniques between you and your training partner. The goal is to avoid static or rigid movements and instead maintain a dynamic exchange of strikes, blocks, and other defensive and offensive techniques.

The Fma equivalent to Wing chuns chi sao i think this is way much better than chi sao..
This is very important to keep in mind: It is "HUBUD" not "Hubad". Hubad means "get naked" in the Filipino language.

I like the switch. But your #3 hand should really be tapping higher up, ideally at the shoulder, or at the very least the triceps. In real life application, that #3 hand would be a strike to the jaw, or would be turning him by applying pressure to th shoulder. We have to get away from the patty cake mentality of hubud and start thinking realistiallly about the striking roles of taps #2 and 3.
Hubad Na hubad 😂

It's not Wing Chun.
So the defender gets three moves for each single move of the attacker in the initial drill. This is why boxers will destroy most martial artists. This drill will not work in real time vs a live opponent. Time would be better spent drilling moves that can actually be used.

You don’t understand. This is not a fighting technique, but is a sensitivity drill. Boxing is great, and many kickboxers use boxing drills as well. THIS is not that. They are also not using footwork, that should be involved.
@ericleigh9098

@@TheRazmotaz there is no “sensitivity” in this. Just clashing limbs

They’re just showing this in the drill form, performing each motion so it is practiced in a sequence that flows together and is used to teach concepts. In application, any combination of what you see here can be used. In reality, the first movement can be offensive. For example, the first parry can be paired with a direct shot to the face or eyes with the other hand. Or the second parry can be used to attack to the opponent, and you can work a destruction with your other arm’s elbow. It can be done, I spar with a fellow FMA friend and we box with the arm pullback and we get armbars 3 out of 4 times. And if we don’t, it leads into a good takedown opportunity if the energy is going back into the opponent anyway. Also, Kali is is more weapons, the hand is a weapon, but the hubud works better with a knife in my opinion. I’m starting to dabble in knife boxing too, so put a boxer up against a knife boxer who knows hubud and boxing. Unfair? Well we’re talking about boxers vs martial artists right? The martial art is Kali so they can have a knife. The streets are not the same as the octagon. Most Kali practitioners aren’t training to be in the octagon, they train for war. Or for the streets in the modern day. Every ride the Chicago CTA red line at night? You’ll want to know how to prepare for a knife attack
