Huawei P30 Pro in a Thunderstorm catching Lightning (works for any 4K smartphone)
Watch me catching lightning in a thunderstorm with the Huawei P30 Pro.
Would be great and superior if the P30 had manual video shooting ... maybe with 3rd party apps or in a future upgrade :)

Try using light painting mode / traffic trails to catch lightning storms.

there are lots of resources about which phones take good photos in low-light -- but, in your opinion, which phones from 2019 (or 2018) shoot VIDEO best in low-light? And what are the best third-party apps that help with low-light VIDEO?

I wold prefer shot photographies in burst mode, for a better quality.
So... just film it? My problem is storms are so rare here. If they happen when I'm not at work, usually when I try to film all lightning stops. Then I give up and it restarts 😑
For s20 ultra, would the best settings be UHD 60fps 3840x2160 16:9?
I think with a Smartphone that can 4k @60 like every Flagship(except Huawei). The pictures would be better.
This is an amateur way to capture thunders! Every phone that has pro mode or manual and you can adjust ISO, Focus and Shutter Speed can capture thunders in perfect quality pictures! You also need to have a tripod because the device must be steady! Ofcourse many many phones can do this! I am doing it with my LG G4 and G5 and G6 all these years and now with my Huawei P30 in the last month!
