Huawei MateView GT 34: UFO Ghosting test/Overdrive test

Ойын-сауық

Quick overdrive test w/ UFO.
I would say it's decent, level 2 & 3 works pretty good, tho at lower frames black smearing can be noticeable, but I've seen far worse (yes Odyssey G3, I'm talkin about you, you piece of shiet). Level 4 is basically unusable, just too much overshoot.
I've already played some Dying Light, Apex Legends, Battlefeld 2042 and Forza Horizon 5 on it, haven't really noticed anything that's too annoying, even after a 200Hz IPS.
Nice job, Huawei.

I've solved the minimal ghosting problem on my Huawei Mate View GT 34. Set the Monitor RGB to: RED = 97 GREEN =100 BLUE = 97 Overdrive = Level 3 Brightness = 47 Contrast = 80 On my graphics card, RX6700xt, in the Radeon software settings, edit custom color: Disable Color Temperature Brightness + 5 Contrast = 120 Saturation to = 110 / 115 And happy Warzone 2 with no ghosting! Note: It also helps my games see more clearly in darker areas. It looks like you're on an IPS panel.

Cant find how to change color (RGB) on monitor... Low chances, but I will also ask - do you know which settings to change on nvidia card?

Hey, thanks for the comment! How about mac and xbox usage? Which setting do you think would be best (and how to apply them) for minimal ghosting?

I bought this monitor a couple of days ago on a sale. Personally, I think the level of ghosting is perfectly acceptable for a VA panel. Way better than my old secondary monitor, which was a AOC Q27G2U with a VA panel. The amount of ghosting on that monitor made certain games quite unplayable for me. There's obviously more ghosting than on my old primary monitor though (ASUS PG279Q, IPS panel), but I really don't think it's too bad. The other advantages of the Mateview GT 34 far outweighs that slight difference, so this is now my main monitor. Really happy with my purchase so far. Got it for 360€. Didn't even bother to test the soundbar though, since I heard it was mediocre, and I was planning to put in on a vesa mount anyways.

Hope this helps. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYyNxJWLhK2ynNo.html It probably looks the worst on gray background, tho in more realistic scenarios, like when gaming, I think it's totally fine. Of course it's a bit blurry at lower frame rates, like most VA panels, but I still didn't noticed any annoying overshoot.

PSA For all owners of this monitor!!! You can completely get rid of black smearing by setting the Picture Mode to sRGB. There will still be some regular ghosting of course, no more than in other Picture Modes though, but it'll be MUCH less apparent when the black smearing isn't accentuating it. I was shocked to see the black smear completely disappear when I had the UFO ghosting test up while testing picture mode settings on my Mateview GT 34. Overdrive Level 3 by the way. Way better gaming experience after switching to that. I don't understand how the monitor can negate black smearing so well in that mode, and not the other modes, but regardless I recommend every owner of this monitor to try it out for themselves, since it's an absolute game changer when gaming. I tried taking some pictures, comparing it to other monitors I own. I'm now SUPER impressed with the performance of this panel it's set to sRGB mode. imgur.com/a/PiMeK8G
