    hello. are you still playing on mateview gt? Are you satisfied with it while gaming ?

    I've replaced it a few weeks ago with an Odyssey G8 OLED and gave the Mateview GT to my little brother, but I really enjoyed my time with it. It had pretty good motion clarity for a VA panel, never had issues with VRR flicker (unlike the Xiaomi Mi Curved 34), had decent colors and plenty of brightness. Good quality stuff by Huawei.

    @@mohsensaffar9371 G8 OLED is just another world, with true blacks, awesome HDR performance and pretty much perfect motion clarity, it's like night and day from the Mateview GT, tho it costs like 2 times more. However, OLED still has it's problems with burn-in, ultrawide screens especially could suffer from that if you're watching lot of 16:9 content, with black bars on the sides - just like me lol, that's why I've hooked up a secondary display for basic tasks, I only use my OLED for movies and gaming. Now I can only hope that it will last for at least 3 or 4 years without major issues. Ghosting, or more like black smearing IS a problem with VA, no doubt about that. The Mateview GT still has some black smearing, but with the Overdrive profile set to Level 3, it never really bothered my. Noticeable, but I got used to it in a few days. Nevertheless, IPS still has it's own flaws with the garbage contrast ratio/black levels, and it's definitely more annoying for me than VA's smearing issues. It really just comes down to personal preference - choose your own demons.

    Is the bass stronger than in Logitech z623??

  • @yezivid
    @yezivid9 сағат бұрын

    Definitely not, since the bass in the Z623 is already too pronounced, combine that with the high crossover frequency, and in the end all you get is a muddy mess. The Z623 is nowhere near of a good speaker. However, the S3000 on it's own has plenty of bass, with a decent low-end that bottoms out at around ~38Hz.

    It has been 3 months since I uploaded this video. The game probably got some optimizations, they also added a toggle for Async Compute, if you disable this it boosts your FPS a bit on 40 series cards. Also, different maps performs quite differently, so for a fair comparison you must test on the same map as I played on.

    Weird too, I still have an I9 9900K from 2018 with originally an RTX 2080 Super that I replaced with an RTX 4080 Super. However, this test is not very realistic. Maybe I have a gold sample??? but my I9 9900K with a Tdp of 95watts. at stock, at 1.15V-1.2V max, never exceeds 60 watts in games. It does not heat up much and in oc, it can reach 5.1 gz at 1.3V. It is a very good CPU. Unless you play Counter Strike and you want 600 fps and more in 1440P. In 2K, 4k ultra setting, there is very little difference between all these CPUs. If you have at least a 6C/12T CPU like an I7 8700K or a Ryzen 3600+ or better an 8C/16T with at least a Ryzen 3700+ or an I9 9900K, no need to change cpu + mobo+Ram. Change first, the graphics card. I then plan to change the CPU (if I I'm still alive until then) but not before the New Intel Arrow Lake or Ryzen 9000 with DDR5 and PCI Gen 5.0. Otherwise for this test, some say that Hyperthreading (HT) reduces performance in games. Sometimes, it must be deactivated. For information purposes, the next Intel 15th generation CPUs which will now be called Intel Core Ultra 2xx will no longer integrate Hyperthreading (HT). )

    Could you test low core count/disabled cores (3-5?), maybe in CP2077 at Medium 1080p DLSS (and maybe even 50/60fps cap if it can reach/saturate that)? I'm not sure what other typical games would stress the CPU more than the GPU

    I think 50-60FPS in Cyberpunk is absolutely possible, even with like 4 cores/threads. A few months ago I did a few benchmarks with a 5800X3D at 4 cores/SMT Off, it was genuinely surprising how capable it still was even with that low core count: kzread.info/dash/bejne/immor5eTct2_Zdo.htmlsi=4RE_sXo6LFDz3DDu I did want to run a few benchmarks with my 7800X3D downcored to 4/6 cores, but I got rid of the CPU before I had the time to do it lol. Now I'll stick to the 7600X for at least a few months, so I'll definitely gonna upload some stuff with lower core counts (maybe even compare it to something like a 5600X). One thing I really wanted to test is how the L3 cache would scale with lower core counts, maybe the extra cache could help to somewhat eliminate the lack of cores - tho I' would need both a non-X3D and a X3D chip (or preferably a 7900/7950X3D) to make that happen.

    Dude, you should make the game less GPU intensive and more CPU intensive, realistically there should be like a 30-50% FPS difference... Disable RT, lower the graphics to low and you'll see a huge difference. CPU upgrades specially for gaming should mostly be competitively based... no one is playing competitive Fortnite with RTX on.

  • @yezivid
    @yezividАй бұрын

    You will never see 50% difference on average, maybe not even 30% - in HUB’s day one review, they’ve measured a 16% difference between the 7800X3D and 7600X, while in the Intel 14th gen review, it was 28% on average. It really depends on the game, some games benefits hugely from the massive L3 cache while others doesn’t really care about it. I admit that I had some GPU bound scenes, tho it was mostly in just Returnal/Starfield, the other games were nearly always CPU bound. I realized in the end that I could have used lower settings, but I started testing with the 7600, since I only had this CPU for like 2 weeks, while my 7800X3D was under warranty-process. Talking about RT - I usually turn up CPU intensive graphics settings, and while RT puts a decent load on the GPU, it’s also pretty heavy on the CPU too - if I remember correctly, there was a much less difference in Cyberpunk without RT, but Marvel’s Spider Man’s RT is also really CPU intensive if you max out the object range slider. You can test CPU performance in a lot of ways, and I don’t think there is only one correct way to do - that’s just how I prefer to test.

  • @yezivid
    @yezivid2 ай бұрын

    Adding an 8" sub to a pair of 8" speakers is just stupid imo, obviously you would get more bass (tho the 2850DB can produce plenty of bass on it's own), but it wouldn't expand the frequency range, since the T8 can only go as low as ~38Hz. You'll need at least a 10" or 12" sub to get some worthy improvements in the low end.
