Watching this on my Mate 20 and it is great! The Pro is great too but for me it is a lot more expensive and it is not worth it. The standart Mate 20 has a 3.5 jack, capacitive fingerprint reader on a good spot on the back, a lot smaller notch, 128GB base storage and the screen is lower ress than the Mate Pro and it is LCD but it is still very good and it is better on the battery. I got the phone from my local carrier on a two year contract for a little less than 500 euros which is a bit cheaper than OnePlus 6T. I think it is a great deal, the phone is amazing! 👍 :)

Not at all. I had a Huawei P9. It was with older version of Android (and EMUI) and 3GB ram and it was pretty much great, it started lagging a bit at the end of the 2nd year of use. Other than that it was a great phone overall with a really nice camera. I don't mind EMUI and expect the standart Mate 20 to be a great experience too. 👌:)

I agree with your review on the Mate 20, that it is just as good and even better in some areas then the mate 20 pro!! and you have to decide if you want to spend the extra $300.00 or $400.00 dollars that it will cost you to get a few extra specs and features that you will use or may not use at all!! Just Thinking out loud!!!

also...one more thing.Can you please do a comparison between Mate 20 Vs Note 9.I am noticing a great difference between my cousins Mate 10 & Note 9.Mate 10 picture quality looks close to a dslr.I wonder what Mate 20 will do when compared to a note 9 ,,,,,

Couldn't stand the oled of pro. Very bad pwm. So I Switched to the regular mate 20. I lose some fancy functions but get bigger screen ratio, better battery life and eye comfort. As an average consumer, Camera to me is no difference. Overall very happy.

I got this today, the same blue model. I'm moving from the One Plus 5. As the 6T removed the jack and has a slower finger print scanner, I opted for this. Good so far... though I prefer Oxygen OS. What launcher did you use?

In my opinion the Mate 20 Pro is worth the extra money, as it has better screen, wireless charging, securer face unlock, in screen fingerprint reader, nicer design and superior camera. Also I got mine for £770 from O2 with a great introductory offer of a fast wireless charger and Huawei G2 watch, so much more bang for buck too.

I love the amoled screen but didn't get it because I can't stand curved screens so I opted for the mate 20 and very happy with it

Another huge difference to all huawei flagship series. Only mate 20 has a radio, older & new p series and mate series doesn't have radio. Radio is only for the midrange and budget phone for huawei....

So many reviews and noone mentions about notification led in this phone...

@@watisdeze i prefer this, but that is mainly because of the design choices being made in the p20 whereas the fingerprint scanner looks like a button and it annoys the heck out of me

The wider display base model looks ok , it's a pity huawei downgraded the camera , i would not buy it . The pro model with the tall narrow dimensions is even narrower than my S8+ , if you have big hands it sucks imo . I would probably look at a mate 20 X with the 7.2 inch display , better speakers, headphone jack , and has the pro camera ....... if huawei released it for world wide ...... alas .

No it doesn't have. Only the pro has a reverse wireless charging.

one thing that i think is better in Mate 20 compared to Mate 20 pro is the big screen...
