Watching this on my Mate 20. What an amazing device, if u don't like curved screen and worry of OLED burn in, get this version. The battery endurance is insane, I could hit 9 hours of SOT before bed with heavy use. (Perks to 7nm Kirin 980) Camera performance is not too much difference comparing to the Pro version and u get headphone jack and fm radio. 😎

juno taittus Huawei stores are going to have stock soon but it's expensive. If 128gb is enough for you then I reckon not rushing to get 1. I use Google photos for backup so I always have enough space. 😊

After a month, I sold my Mate 20 Pro and X and am now keeping the Mate 20. Very happy with this phone.

Mate 20 Pro has a design that is not like other models offline. Curved OLED Curved OLED screen, catching hold, so it is more handsfree than other models. And it is a very beautiful screen with a resolution of 2K + - 4K.

@@vaqusy YESSS I've used the p30 p40 and mate 30 and I still prefer the mate 20 plus I don't have to worry about screen burns because it's using an IPS LCD and it's a GREAT LCD panel too

@@nodinodi46 I haven't had light bleeding of any sort and the screen quality works great! Overall, it's a quality phone. I've always been a Samsung user all my life and wanted to try a cheaper alternative since Samsung has become pricey. And I must say, mate 20 is rather on par with Samsung. I can only imagine how incredible the mate 20 pro is going to be as the mate 20 is already great.

@@nodinodi46 I know, I was iffy about the LCD screen too but honestly, I think the screen is good! I can tell you that I was pleasantly surprise at how good this phone is. The only thing I am not loving is how big the phone is. I was using Samsung S6 Edge before the upgrade so the size difference is rather big. But overall, it's genuinely a good phone. I was skeptical before but after using it, I'm enjoying everything about this phone and all the cool tricks! Glad I'm able to help! Oh and the battery actually lasts 2 days! I only charge the phone every 2 days and that's awesome.

The cameras on this phone is waaaaay better than the LG G6 and G7, I can't wait to buy my Mate 20 pro.

Mate 20 display is infact mlcd from lg g7, only with lower resolution. Its by far the best lcd on the market, whites are amazing on this display.

I just bought myself a Mate 20 online at a cheaper price 22% off and I can say that it is really amazing! I used to be a Samsung user which I use note 4 for 3+ years, change to Huawei nova 3i for 7 months and recently upgrade to Mate 20!

ppl complaining about the mate 20 for not having more zoom in camera seriously there r tons of accessories than can help u with that same for optical stabilization so its not a big deal I think its the best phone in 2018 due to its specs price ratio

Unbreakable still working with no issue i bought ones it released

Its got better whites then any oled or amoled,clear white not oled white with blue-yellow or pink hue.You have to see it in person to understand.Its made by lg with white subpixels.

How is this screen compared to the S9?

I own a Mate 20 and the One Plus 6+ and both phones are very comparable. The Mate 20 is very very efficient and has the best battery life of the pair. I came from the Note 9 which had a horrible battery life. There is a reason why Samsung and Apple are scared because once Huawei and One Plus becomes mainstream, Apple and Samsung will be finished as far as phones go. My Mate 20 is excellent. Fast performance, out of this world battery and very very customizable.

I'm choosing between note 9 and mate 20. Really, a horrible battery life for the note? (I would take the Exynos version if note 9, I'm in Italy). I am a bit concerned with ppi, my current old z3 has an IPS with 424ppi and this one would have another IPS but with 381 ppi. I don't know if it is noticeable, if it will feel like a downgrade or so...

@@nicolar.8240 same, I'm torn between the note 9 and the mate 20. the note 9 has a better display and the s pen ill never use, but the mate 20 has the better battery optimization, charging, processor and faster charger. also, a better camera than the note 9 (rear, but the note 9 has a better frontal cam) if you bought the mate 20, could you please tell me more about it compared to the note?

Mate 20 because of design and 3,5mm jack. And ofcourse because of Kirin 980 that is 2x times more powerful than 970

Which phone does 1080@60fps video better, this or Oneplus 6? It seems a little worse in the Mate20 but everything else is better. Btw thanks for one of the FEW Mate 20 reviews.

@@averagestudent5223 I've used Honor View 20 8gb variant for a couple months now. The touch screen is too sensitive, the user interface is not very user friendly and the system kills apps that are minimised. As for battery life, it can last you a day of heavy use and the brightness is fine.

What about led for notifications? Doest it have one?

May I just say excellent review strange I have subscribed to your channel but have not got no notifications with the bell on I'm interested in the pro model but it seems KZread or some other powers don't want the world to Now how good the devices are.I can't hardly even find a wide angle picture on the KZread and when I did the reviewer sad his fingers got in the way of the lens and showed the picture it seems they comparison where the best lens on product a not include and real fake comparison it seems America does not want these phone ok but from what I've seen lately some tech channels shouldn't be allowed I own a mate 10 pro and I've own many phones including iOS and I have say it best phone I've ever owned and my love for photography I'm finding the world is not a nice place it seems you can't trust the internet and that's sad many thank for this review hope you do the pro soon
