Philip Wong that battery review is a joke as running benchmarks is not real life as no one does that! It’s real life usage that matters and this reviewer is giving his battery SOT using it normally. So 7-8 SOT is impressive for a pre-production unit and in real life it will be far better than the Note. Obviously if you just use it for video playback then the Note will catch up. However Note and 10 Pro are not for teens, they are for business users and battery tests like your link are useless as they are aimed at the youth demographic.

Im using the phone as my daily driver now. For sure it depends on usage. With max screen brigthness and bluetooth, gps, nfc everything switched on you will get way less. I have mobile data or wifi on the whole time, screen brightness on 70% max and rest switched off. A few apps in the background and yes I dont do alot of calls just video calls from time to time. The minimum i got was 5 hours SoT. So for me it lasts a full day no matter what I do. Impresive.

JZ VR doesn't look that way, it's supposed to be the upmarket model from the base mate 10 , But no headphone jack , no sd card , only 1080p screen . No wireless charging , and at this stage the ai doesn't seem to do much . It needs to be cheap .

+mikldude Depends on what you prefer really, the only thing that irks me is no headphone jack but apart from that things like IP67, Cat18, OLED, overall design, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and etc. are all upgrades. It's a 1080P panel but reviewers who have seen both screens in person said the Pro's display is better despite having less resolution. SD isn't a big deal since there's the storage bump so I'm still going for the Mate 10 Pro. If someone else prefers the Mate 10 then even better, no need to spend extra for the Pro.

+mikldude Go for the regular Mate 10 then. It still doesn't have wireless charging, but comes with brighter, higher-res 2K display, MicroSD card slot, headphone jack, and most importantly, is much cheaper than the Pro variant.

Sorry it not,Note 8 and V30 still better

The main thing with this phone is the build in AI is will not slow down even after the 18 month because as it learns it will just get faster and faster

Hi TechMagnet or anyone who can clear my queries, I know that you can't charge the phone in desktop mode if plugged with a USB C to HDMI cable but if you plug in a USB C dock or hub will I be able to charge the phone? It supports 32bit high res audio and from what I read it's a big step up over the Mate 9.

Wait till after the final software update... it will be a beast

Compare the audio output quality with V30

You need to test the moto X pure. 25 watt charger. Never actually measured the speed of charge but I seem to almost charge from like 9% to 100% in about an hour.

I really like your videos, you explain clearly and your views come across as sincere. You aren't overly excited as some KZreadrs are, that can get a bit tiring. There is a tiny thing that you say which sounds funny to my ears... "backside", it means bottom! Just say the "back" of the phone :-)

If you have a link to the USB C hub, you can get someone you can charge at the same time.

Had one for three weeks. Lag in main screen when you swipe to the right. Stutters in Facebook and F Messenger. Minor stutter in Instagram. Heavy stutters in G Maps. By comparison One Plus 5T 0 stutters in 30 days of heavy use. Could not take it anymore. I had send it back. Decent camera, a bit better than One Plus 5T and Nokia 8 but even the Google Nexus 5X is sharper and more true to life, even if it takes forever to take an image with HDR+ On. Audio in my opinion better than all above mentioned (tested wit Beyer DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm, KRK KNS8400 32 Ohm and RHA 750 16 Ohm).

i'm just surprise they did not use a 2k screen on the pro model. I wonder if it is acceptable at that size?

J Law full HD Plus Looks as Good as my s8.. So Hard to See a difference. Also battery Life is better with lower res.

I would suggest waiting till the phone runs the final software before making any review, especially since it can differ alot. The battery can go from good to excellent just by the final software.

Monchito94 ProPelas TV Alot of reviewers are testing the phone on a pre-production unit and claiming it has a good camera, and fanboys especially samsung are now claiming that samsung phones have better camera's, but I remember when a pre-production of note 8 was put through a test and its camera was bad all samsung fans were jumping to conclusion and saying how its not the final software but when it comes to other brands they have double standards.
